  1. I'm not sure if he was considered or not. I hope the new O-Line coach works out, but I wonder why Morris seems to avoid hiring coaches without much on-the-field experience.
  2. I guess when Morris did not hire him as the O-line coach he felt it was time to move on. Based on his new profile, he is now the Offensive Line Coach and Associate Head Coach at Coffeyville Junior College
  3. Does not look like he has posted any recruiting info since he posted he was in the portal.
  4. With all of the transfers in football, here are some things to keep in mind for the Spring Portal window (May1-15) Grad transfers (graduating in May) cannot do anything official until then - quite a few will be available. Players at schools where transfers are coming in will see they are being "replaced" or will move down the depth charts and hit the portal. Players at schools where new coaches are coming do not feel they fit and hit the portal. I would like to have as many here for the Spring as possible, but good players will be available in May.
  5. I believe there will be a lot of very good players in the portal in the next round. Would not be surprised with all the transfers at mid-year for a lot of new transfers to hit the portal and be available after the spring. Would nice to have a couple more quarterbacks in for the spring.
  6. Would be much more excited if we added two or three defensive linemen
  7. If two or more G5s end up undefeated, only one at the most will go.
  8. That was a terrible call - it should NEVER have been made in a State finals game.
  9. No hay problema
  10. So, is Tulane going to take over the role from SMU of the school that is not North Texas that we have people continually posting about on the North Texas football board?
  11. Liking and accepting that it's a reality that you must deal with are different.
  12. Wasn't there a lot of excitement about their recruiting and transfers last year, also?

  14. With the Spring 2024 schedule, we will need some good hitting to compete.
  15. Give the staff credit for a lot happening. I was still hoping to see more transfers on the defensive side of the ball, but still time to .go
  16. Free speech does not pertain to SMU
  17. Those are good points, and I agree it can be a slippery slope. I have seen HS coaches post messages about college coaches no longer being welcome because of how they handled the situation. I would guess a lot has to do with how each case is dealt with. But at the same time, to be the devil's advocate, if a player decommits from a school, should that school no longer recruit at that high school? I understand the coaches are looking out for their players, but things change, and hopefully, if both sides communicate, it can lessen the hard feelings.
  18. Transfer commit 12/13
  19. Lifer, do you know if TCU recruited him as a TE or lineman?
  20. The way coaches use grad assistants and anyaylst can mean a lot of different things. Many of them have have a lot of responsibilities. Shouldn't let the title mislead their actual duties.
  21. So they switched out UAB for FAU?
  22. Several posters on this board should be banned for constantly posting things about other schools, and many posts should be taken down. However, getting clicks is the name of the game, and even though this board is supposed to be about the Mean Green, clicks mean even more. I think you would be very hard-pressed to find another College Board where the people who run the board allow another school's fans to come on and post as much as is allowed here. So before you comment about my comment about clicks meaning more, think about that.
