I do believe one of the most used phrases of the night was "another high snap" when commenting about South Alabama.

Great game by the O line. It does seem their pass blocking is a little ahead of their run blocking at this time.

I am really hoping we get a chance in the second half against SFA to let both of the freshmen get some snaps. However, with our defense it's hard to tell.

Went back and watched the replay. Especially in the 4th quarter we played a lot of extreme prevent. There were several plays where the commentators mentioned that we had three defensive backs starting off probably 30 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Not that it would have made a monumental difference, but there were a lot of junk yards after we got up for South Alabama. At times are looked to be improved from last year but we still are playing way too loose on the receivers and in year two still have not seemed to figure out how to cover swing routes and a scrambling quarterback.

10 of 14 AAC teams won their opening games. Two losses to P4s, and then Charlotte and Rice lost to FBS schools.

Now that SMU is gone we can/should root for every team in the American when they are playing a team from the other G5 conferences.

Sam Houston played very good Defense (not that I was looking for a possible future DC)

CM looked very comfortable, and as they say, everything around him was moving slowly today.

For me one of the things on offense that I was happy to see was the fact we weren't rushing to get plays off. I believe the time of possession was probably close to 50/50 and that will help make a difference.

Great point you can be happy that we won but realistic enough to understand that this defense is very bad

Not sure how the other games are going today but right now it looks like at least by the defensive measure of yards given up we will be the lowest ranked FBS school once again

I truly admire your optimism to find a bright side that their defense might suck more than we do

We gave up almost 600 yards of offense again tonight. I'm hoping those three players that were out today are difference makers above and beyond what we hope

Terrible Defensive play Terrible Special Teams play Terrible Discipline Terrible Red Zone play calling Bright Spot - QB play (except the last play Morris could have walked in to the endzone)

I would put the chance of us winning at less than 10%

Red Zone play calling has been stupid today

3rd and goal and we ran a play with Morris as good as he has been?

Would it be any different? It seems this is the coverage style this staff coaches

We need to slow down to keep the Defense off the field

If we play like this and he stays all year, Morris should resign!!!
