How to watch and listen to the Texas Tech game
El Paso Eagle replied to Tommy Gadberry's topic in Mean Green Football
I believe the issue last weekend was technical difficulties on our side that the north Texas crew was not able to fix. Molly concerned for this weekend is that they're not listing it on the x notification which they've always done before -

I hope you're right during the SFA game it wasn't working and as far as I can remember this is the first time they haven't shown it on the x posting -
Eric Morris interview on Texas Tech Game

Noticing he's sporting the UNT gear for this interview -
UNLV goes due to location only, not the team. The same could be said for UTSA. It's curious how Texas State has a couple of solid years and how, all of a sudden, everyone forgets they have not been a good program for years. If you are going to consider them, wouldn't you be better off going after Rice? If the PAC wants to be a West Coast conference (assuming the "coast" goes all the way to the Rockies, then they probably hope for Cal and Stanford. The MWC seems to have been doing a good job getting their contracts in place to protect the conference. If the pac tries to go after more teams and that drops the MWC below eight, I wonder if they (MWC) have any recourse (they have to have known that what looks to be happening was going to happen). It will be interesting to see what criteria the pac will be emphasizing in their attempted additions. If the other X teams come from the AAC, could we be looking at a merger with the AAC and the MWC? Regardless, the American should be on the phone with Air Force and New Mexico.

We have three players on the defensive side of the ball that you might ask that question to

So is the option to use the Varsity network (Learfield) gone? If you're out of town 97.1 doesn't work as a play music during the game on the internet stream -

The other two could be interesting. I think they are hoping Cal and Stanford come back. I don't think they try to get any other MWC teams for various reasons, even though I think they would like UNLV. Could they try to get a footprint in Texas? You might see them go after UTSA for the location as much as anything, and possibly the same goes for UNT or Rice. Even though Texas State is hot right now, I would not think they would be on the radar. I think they will stop at eight right now, regardless, to see the fallout when the Super Conferences are formed and what is available. PS - If I were the American Commissioner, I would be on the phone with the Air Force Academy.

There is going to be a lot of money involved for those schools in the MWC.

Good question

But I thought you had to change up constantly and use multiple color schemes to get players and keep them happy (sarcasm is 100% intended).

On ESPN's stats, if you click on the Full Splits, it gives an excellent breakdown of his performances https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/splits/_/id/4692530/chandler-morris -
North Texas has a freaking hard enough time establishing an identity, and then for our head coast to do an interview with a major statewide publication and not be wearing North Texas apparel is frustrating. Now, if I was a conspiracy theorist, I might have written -- Not to overplay the"it makes you wonder" card, but if this coming game was not against Texas Tech, would he have worn a Mean Green hat? 😉
-
My only nitpick is, why not wear a Mean Green cap?
-
Let's surprise them out in Lubbock this week and wear retro uniforms that are the same ones we had the last time we beat them there.
-
Yes they're getting money but I don't think they're getting as much money as a lot of us thought in the beginning. Seems to be a lot of stories coming out where transfers that don't end up playing don't get near the money they thought they were going to get

I was finally able to find it on the Sirius app but it took quite a while. I believe it also ended up being at 396 on the app of course we were the one station where instead of showing the North Texas symbol like it did on other schools it just had a football helmet

****OFFICIAL SFA vs UNT In-Game DISCUSSION****
El Paso Eagle replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Carthel has always seemed to get some good talent down in Nacogdoches his problem like many is he gets players transferring out and I believe a year or two ago he had about 70% of his coaching staff hired a way to FBS schools in one off season. -
How much longer will the fans in Colorado be happy with the product Dion's putting on the field? How hard are the polesters and the playoff committee struggling today to figure out how to still put Notre Dame in the playoffs? Yes it's the reality of today's game, but I would love to know the over-under on the times announcers during the game will use the phrase "transferred from" during the average game?

****OFFICIAL SFA vs UNT In-Game DISCUSSION****
El Paso Eagle replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Hopefully Chandler got the bad game out of his system and the old line can get healthy. Hoping the injuries to the running backs are not severe but we have to now go with the next man up mentality to keep turning out some yards. On the defensive side of the ball I guess we're going to have to assume the three that was suspended will not be back this year. The defensive front does seem to be playing much better this year but I still worry about our loose coverage in the secondary and the fact that we still struggle to contain the quarterback. I think overall the most concerned I have from last night was the penalties. We ended up with I believe 15 penalties for 122 yards and I also believe that SFA declined 2 to 3 more.
