When we were in the Sun Belt, we have to get out of this conference. If our administration can not get it done, they need to go! When we were in CUSA, we have to get out of this conference. If our administration can not get it done, they need to go! And now, here we go again to the AAC. We have to get out of this conference. If our administration can not get it done, they need to go!

If the $15 is already known, I wonder if Apple or Amazon is involved.

Oregon State AD: Pac-12 will look to add new schools quickly
El Paso Eagle replied to NT80's topic in Conference ReAlignment
Why? It seems the inclusion of UTSA is based on the San Antonio market and the lack of competition in the market. Let's try to find out what the PAC criteria are for expansion and then judge what the administration at UNT did or didn't do. -
Those are good points, but at the same time, if you put a conference of the "best teams," you are also more likely to have a champion that could have one or two losses. Does that champion go in over the champion of another conference that ran the table? Then you are also counting on the fact that the non-power conference will still get an automatic seat at the table after the next couple of years. If that continues, it will probably hasten the exit of the SEC and the Big 10 to form their own super conference. I also find it strange that they would want just one school in Texas. I will give UTSA credit for their success (Although it's still pending to see what happens without Harris at QB), but I don't understand how some are saying that a team in San Antonio gives them a footing in Texas. I would think you need two, three, or more teens in Texas to have a legitimate footprint. You are still going to have to address the cost of travel for the nonrevenue sports. One of the things I heard mentioned in a couple of places is that they are in the early talks of considering having their Olympic-style sports have some of their games in a tournament-style setting at a neutral location. In the end, wherever we end up, so be it. Let's hope the university continues to try to move forward.

I am hoping the team is motivated after the fiasco in Lubbock, but I would be lying if I said I did not believe that, with our defense, Wyoming could have a breakout game. Can we hold them for "less" in this game than they have for the season? Total for the season (after three games) - My guess is they will over/under/match TDs - 4 Match Passing Yards - 344 Over Rushing Yards - 261 Under Interceptions - 1 Over Pick-6 - 0 Match

Morris Weekly Press Conference (9/17/2024)
El Paso Eagle replied to Big Z's topic in Mean Green Football
Had a couple points that look like Eric is getting pretty close to losing his cool with the defense and some of the coaches. I don't know maybe it would be a good thing for him to get pissed off and kick some people's asses -
What some are predicting for the Wyoming game
El Paso Eagle replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
We do have a history of making players game film highlights for the transfer portal look very good after they have breakout performance is against us -
Has it been made "official" that the three suspended players are not coming back?

Curious that time frame goes hand in hand with how long Harris was their quarterback. Will be interesting to see how they Fair moving forward -

Location and a large market with no local competition. -
No doubt he (Kinne) is burning it up, but it's not like everyone thought at the time he was hired; he was a sure thing to do what he's done. Again, taking nothing away from his accomplishment, but people acting like they knew he was going to do this is very disingenuous.

Morris needs to own the Caponi hire
El Paso Eagle replied to Tom McKrackin's topic in Mean Green Football
No expert, but a well-coached team has the player in a position to make the plays, and then it becomes the responsibility of the players to make the plays. These players are not even close to being in the proper position to try and make the stops time after time. Games against Memphis, Tulane, and Army really worry me, and I really doubt they will call off the horses as Tech did if they are in that position. -
Not to dampen the enthusiasm, but if it's possible, this team (Wyoming) is probably worse on offense than we are on defense. Through 3 games Points per game - 11.3 Passing yards per game - 115 Rushing yards per game - 87 So please, if we do not hold them to less than 225 yards and 14 points, don't start with the "oh, the defense is stepping up" or "wow, Morris and Caponi might be turning it around".

Mean Green Football Drop First Game of Year in Lubbock

Whoever wrote this spin piece has a good shot as a political speech writer. -
Suddenly, I miss the days when the Dallas Morning News ignored us😉

Sadly, the non-power conferences do not have a history of doing what makes sense 🤣

Could be wrong but I'm more willing to give them the benefit of the doubt due to the injuries.

🔥🔥🔥Official UNT vs Texas Tech IN-GAME DISCUSSION🚨🚨🚨
El Paso Eagle replied to Cooke County Kid's topic in Mean Green Football
I would say with all due respect but honestly this is pure BS. I guarantee you if we'd have won there would have been a post game conference. Another third rate effort when it comes to covering up the crap that goes on in this program. After all we're the fan base and we're supposed to shut up and give them money and have very little expectations. -

With the O-line, injuries are significantly impacting them. -
Just like the many players who enter the portal and believe they are "the one" who can be the difference maker, I would hope any coach we hire, HC, coordinator, or position thinks they will be successful.
