Thank you, Coach Morris, for the Air Raid defense. Hopefully, he will change his ways ...... North Texas ranks 119th in touchdowns allowed, and although the Mean Green have a dynamic and versatile offense capable of challenging defenses in multiple ways, they also have an "outscore, rather than defend" approach to winning games.

Thursday/Friday FBS Games - 9/26-9/27

The pack is claiming, among other things, that the Mountain West knew they had them in a position where they were vulnerable and forced them to agree to the poaching fees; therefore, that should make it invalid. If that is the case, then does that also mean that the games scheduled next year or even the rest of this year are technically invalid and not enforceable to go through with if Mount West chooses not to play additional games? I know this would not happen but it seemed like the pack wants to pick and choose what part of the contracts they are obligated to. I don't know enough to know if they're right or wrong, but I do know it makes them look like they're trying to be scam artists.

Again, if this is just a split of the revenue that we pay for them and not ongoing revenue splits, I think you have the same thing Boise was trying to get. The reality seems to be that UNOV and Air Force were the two schools that had legitimate interests in conferences that had the ability to pull them away from the Mountain West. From the Mountain West viewpoint, this is an investment to keep the league together from money that you would not have had otherwise, and it's two less teams you have to try and replace.. I agree that if this is also a revenue split from now on, that would put a different set of circumstances with a vast difference.

Memphis AD on Why They Turned Down the PAC
El Paso Eagle replied to Mean Green 93-98's topic in Conference ReAlignment
Agree 100%. At any point soon, will we see these new "commitments" backed up with newly signed agreements? -
From what I have seen, and it could be mistaken, this is only for splitting the money that the pack will pay the Mountain West.

I'm not a fan, but then again, I wouldn't say I like our need to be a part of the new Uniform of the Week club. Joke all you want to about "Mean Green", but we have wasted that opportunity over the years, probably even more than the lost opportunities when Dodge was hired.

Would the MWC have any grounds to countersue the PAC for breach of contract? -

It seems like a case of both conferences positioning themselves up front, knowing that this was going to happen. The Mountain West had these big penalties because they knew even though they were helping out the pack in the short term, the pack would turn around and try to screw them over. The pac, from the beginning, knew what they had planned and agreed to anything already planned in advance to claim duress if and when the time came. I hope the PAC is forced to pay everything they committed to. This is not a contract that was signed years ago. This was signed very recently, and now the pac wants walk away from its commitment.

Memphis, Tulane, USF Turn Down 2PAC....Staying in AAC

Going after Texas State (which I would be good with) could be a target to block the PAC from Texas -

I think this sums up NIL best for me

For the player from USC that announced he's also stopping and will transfer someone had made the comment that this guy played at four different high schools and now we'll be on to his third different college. If that's correct then this Dude's got some serious commitment issues -

If the verbal agreement was made with someone who is not legally authorized to make such an arrangement as this seems, would it still be enforceable as the assistant represents the school? -

It will be interesting to see if there is anything in writing or if it was a verbal agreement. -

In this whole, let's put together a terrible deal and panic that we're going to be sued; the NCAA does allow an agent, but only to specifically address the issues of NIL. And anyone who believes that agent is only working on NIL is not living in any reality I know of. -

I would be in favor of performance-based agreements compared to making agreements to pay before they ever take a snap. -

This could be another example of why they are going to let the schools end up directly running NIL. This entire program/system/whatever you want to call it is a total cluster in the way it's done, and both sides, at the end of the day, only care about themselves and act like it.
