This guy wasn't skinny and there was no NT gear to be found. The players just stood in amazement as the guy questioned their manhood.

Let me say that this is not a flame in any way... Did anyone on this board make the trip to Troy for the game? I have a question about one of your fans but it needs to be answered by someone who was there.

The No.1 question right now is “is he eligible this year?” From what Blakeney understands, he should be. He took two classes this summer at Oklahoma, got two B’s, made all his workouts, etc. OU has released him from his scholarship. He has to be denied admission to OU for him to be eligible this fall and that decision should come today, if he hasn’t been denied already. So, it sounds like Troy coaches are gearing up for him to play. There’s the acclimation period where new players have to go through. Jarboe started practice yesterday (Tuesday) with the team. He’ll go through today in shorts, Thursday and Friday in shells, and full pads Saturday if that schedule’s right. Though, Thursday is a scrimmage so he wouldn’t play in that but I guess it would count as a practice. Jarboe is friends with freshman wideout Chip Reeves, who played at Stone Mountain. “Chip spoke well of him as a competitor and as a player,” Blakeney said. “Eligible or not, he’ll be with us,” Blakeney said. “We interviewed him extensively, we talked to his family, his mentor, to Ray Bonner (high school coach), and we talked to Oklahoma coaches about him. I don’t think this kid is a bad kid.” “The rap deal happened in his dorm room. One of the offensive linemen taped it and (Jarboe) went home for the break (after summer, before fall). (OU coach Bob) Stoops called him and he told him everything. It turns out, the lineman had uploaded the tape on youtube. (Jarboe) wasn’t trying to get the tape out there. He was a victim of his own circumstances.” Blakeney said they wouldn’t rush him on the field. “We’ll see how fast he can move mentally in this system,” Blakeney said. “It’s not a hard system for the kids to learn because they enjoy playing in it. I don’t know if he’ll be ready for Middle Tennessee or the second game or the third game. We’ll let him move at his own pace.”

Just think.....Ware and McKelvin both were passed over by the "bigger" schools due to their "lack of size". Troy has done very well in the past with signing guys that were overlooked by the big boys.

He's as good as gone. Our only hope is to either promote an assistant from within or find someone that knows how to run Franklin's offense. This can't be good for our recruiting!

I would love to hear the UNT fans toughts on our stadium . We, the Troy fans, think we have the nicest stadium in the Belt (definitely better than MTSU's all metal stadium). Just curious......

Just wanted to stop by and say good game. I hope everyone that traveled to Troy has a safe trip home. Not trying to rub anything in.......your time is coming. I don't look forward to travelling to Denton next year. Do me a favor and run the table in the Belt from here on out.

One of the many reasons that this game scares me to death! We are gonna get everyone's best game and that means there is no margin for error. Man, I am already nervous!

This is the way ULM chose to play us and it seemed to work for a while. Omar took quite a few shots from the Warhawk defenders but it didn't seem to phase him after the first few possesions. For some reason, ULM chose to adjust to our offense by dropping eight men in coverage in the second half. Of course, that gave Omar all day to find his receiver or even scrammble for 10 yards a pop. Not sure what they were thinking! Should be an intersting game!

I think that would probably be a good game plan against us. You should keep in mind that we don't need a lot of time to score, which actually hurts late in the game when we need to run out the clock. TOP is not that big of a deal to our offense.....at least not so far.

The project, which took more than a year to complete, increased the facility's seating capacity to 30,000, an increase of more than 12,000 seats. Construction began on the project in July 2002 and was completed in time for the Trojans' 2003 home opener against Southeast Louisiana on Sept. 20. The stadium has seen tremendous growth and change during its 54-year existence. It was built for a mere $65,000 as Memorial Stadium in 1950 and seated just 5,000 spectators. Several renovations followed, including in 1998, when the facility moved from a 12,000-seat capacity to 17,500. Construction began in July 2002 to expand its capacity to 30,000, with the largest part of the project being a new six-story press box structure that houses 27 sky boxes, a state-of-the-art media hosting facility, a unique Trojan Stadium Club area that houses more than 1,000 guests, and floors dedicated to sports medicine, academics and strength & conditioning. As a part of the construction, the Jesse H. Colley Track, which was housed at the stadium, was relocated – making the stadium a footballonly venue. Also gone is the prescription athletic turf, replaced by "AstroPlay," an artificial surface that closely resembles grass in feel and appearance. Troy became one of the first schools in the Deep South to install the turf. Ole Miss, Princeton, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Military Academy (Army) and the Air Force Academy all use the same product. Several professional franchises have also installed the product in recent years, including the Buffalo Bills. A large-screen, endzone video board was also installed, along with a state-of-the-art sound system.

Do you know where you are going to tailgate? I park in the reserved lot directly behind the scoreboard, which is closest to where you are going to be sitting. You are more than welcome to hang out over there with my wife and I.
