Yeah I know Snead would be a great catch for us, but to automatically write off any possibility? You're a really, really negative person. For your name being "playmaker" we'd think you'd chomp at the bit to see something great like this happening, not pout about how you think it won't happen. I swear man, there are very few posts of yours where I don't ask myself, "does he huff paint?" I'd want him here. I want him to compete for the #1 spot against our current QBs (maybe turn them into WRs or DBs). If he wants to come here, great. If he wants to play here, even better. The facilties aside from Fouts are great, the coach is right, and the fanbase is waiting- begging for a reason to rise up.

People are picking on the losses Dodge had when SLC switched to 5A. Why? He obviously showed everyone what he was made of in every single game since then!

As bad as this guy's journalism is...it's no wonder he's working in Sherman. Some people choose local journalism out of love for the area or the scale of the work there...some people just don't have the ability to go any further. Or at least in Spink's case- won't do the extra research to keep from looking stupid. Dickey hasn't been popular since at least the UNT/So-Miss New Orleans Bowl.

Spinks has probably never seen the UNT Campus. Dickey's always been on a thin string with fans, and in the last 2 seasons, a lot of people have wanted his head or at least wanted to kick him in the head until he fixed things.

So if he does and then leaves...then I think our AD isn't as stupid as Helwig was and will use the extra fame to get a coach that can easily fit TD's old shoes. Don't be a jerk, Spinks.

Don't be so hard on Bleil- it's not his fault that the D stays out in a game for 3/4 of it. It doesn't matter who you are, even an NFL player gets winded if they're on the field for 3/4 of an entire game.

Just don't get rid of the current productive staff (ie: Bleil) and we're good to go. I'd be mad if Brewster were tossed as he really did an outstanding job with the Green team this fall.

As far as the field itself, yes...Dragon Stadium is better. Fouts only beats it in capacity. But for the facilities themselves, I'd see about touring the new athletics complex. You'll be suprised.

This is true. Either way, it'll take a bit to spread, especially since the press conference is tonight and like random number/letter guy said before me, the fans are pretty passive right now. Dickey's poor coaching took some of the fire out of the fans. Winning WILL change everything.

ODDS ARE, THEY'RE NOT PAYING A LOT OF ATTENTION TO THE COACH SITUATION, ESPECIALLY SINCE DICKEY PROBABLY KILLED THEIR FOOTBALL INTEREST. Which probably means, they won't know until it's in the NT Daily tomorrow.

Uhm...not likely. I'm okay with the uniforms as they are, except that the helmets could really use the eagle+UNT logo as opposed to the long wordmark on them now.

I can't wait to see what Fitzgerald and Jackson produce. I remember reading someone saying that after Quinn, our WR's are lost. No. Not even close. I also want to see what JMo will do when he gets his confidence back, and I'm eagerly awaiting Evan Robertson's speed.

Fred Bleil's been a beast with the defense. They fought hard this past season, only really cracking when they were on the field for 75% of the game. Want proof? Look at the first half of the NT/UT game. They showed sharp teeth, and kept at it until they just got plain tired.

Don't like their board. Don't like that they STILL think we're a commuter school...Don't like that they tried to ripoff our battleflag. Come to think, I don't much like Baylor as it goes to athletics. But hey, if my only bragging right was saying I'm the ugly-bucket-school of the BigXII, I'd be bitter too. If only all the money could buy you a better football record.

And? So what if Dodge isn't actually hired? That still leaves Harbaugh (I like this guy alot) and Norvell (also a guy with a long and impressive resume). Either way, we come out with a coach that should have what it takes to win. It's not like it's a toss-up between Todd Dodge coaching the team or having some yahoo like me coach the team. Think of it like this- no matter what, our school gets a good coach. All they have to do is prove RV right.

I back this---ALL THE WAY! This man has the offensive know-how, he has charisma and leadership, and he is a big name that will draw lots of recruits to our great university. GO MEAN GREEN!

I don't really care who coaches as long as they rack up the W's, fill the stands, and fire up our team. They can come from middle school JV for all I care, because once they show the results, none of that will matter.

Blah-blah-coaches, blah-blah-RV, blah-blah-sky-is-falling. Dude, give it a rest and put the paint thinner down. How about you go out and hire a coach?
