  1. Or they could realize that their team is getting beaten. And not talk about things entirely unrelated to the game at hand.
  2. I guess. I was watching that call...looked halfway legit to me. Anyways, this anti-SunBelt stuff should come to a close today considering how well the 'Belt has been faring against teams that they probably think should've crushed the SunBelt teams. Whatever, in time, these'll be more than just fluke games in the minds of these jokers. They'll be games that downright irritate them.
  3. We gotta catch up. Gotta make a statement in the games remaining this season, get the stadium, and help turn the SunBelt into the conference that no one's crazy enough to schedule for money games.
  4. Definitely, Schnelly was a better coach than Dickey was those years, even though they were always close losses. I got a feeling TD's gonna be a whole new show for Schnelly to watch. I still think it'll be a close game, though.
  5. DeMario Thomas? He never made it here. I really wish he would make it. My votes? Haynes and Cobbs in that order.
  6. I don't get it either. It doesn't take a pet psychic to know that if you drop your booted foot on a dog's tail that hard, it's gonna snap at you. Freaking, freaking stupid. I hope they don't have a veterinary medicine school there.
  7. Because you know...when NT or any other school plays another conference's team and it has THEIR refs in it...NOTHING bad could ever come of it. What the hell.
  8. Here's the leap of that logic: Start point is here ->x Endpoint is 50mi from here ->x So then, I'm profiteering and engaging in less than moral activity by taking my degree in something and then getting a high paying job? Or getting promoted? Or finding a better paying position? This is horrible writing.
  9. Been sick. You'll have to forgive me. But yes, please...variety. If what you have tried doesn't work, then if anything...try EVERYTHING until something does. Even if it's ALL OUT BLITZ then, do it. Hahaha... ALL OUT! ALL OUT! I think our guys should do that and then sit back.
  10. I think the D needs variety; something else has to be happening besides zone coverage. I mean, throw something in that hasn't been tried because it keeps the offense honest, and especially if other things aren't working. I want to see more blitzing, I want to see something else besides pushing around up front and our LBs and Secondary being spread open. It's the honest truth, here. The defense is also being worn out by their field time. Usually, you'll see a coach who has shallow defense do things to keep the offense on the field like run the ball or try to get some short passes in. It seems like our guys on defense are just getting tired come the 3rd quarter, and that means they need better conditioning, the offense should eat up more time, and the D coach should adjust his plans accordingly. We had a similar problem last year so many fast 3-and-outs. You'd see our D do pretty well at first, but around the 3rd or 4th, they were sluggish.
  11. Seriously. SMU was weak against the pass, so TD and the coaches ate it up. I know a lot of you guys think Dodge's staff at SLC ran nothing but pass-pass-pass. In actuality, they did well on the ground too, if at least enough to open the passing game up. If FAU eases up on the ground too much, the offense will probably do it on foot, even if it's just to keep the D honest.
  12. And in the related list, on FGs, hailing from the NFL...Mike "Vandershank" Vanderjagt.
  13. Holy crap, talk about your major turning points in life. They call them "scholarships" for a reason. That means you have to be a scholar, you don't have to be a 4.0 scholar, but just enough of one to keep the coaches and admin happy. If they wanted you to jack around and have your school paid for, they'd call it a "jack-around-and-fail-school-for-free-ship." I'm glad that our players understand that these scholarships are worth more than the dollar amount per semester that they cover. It's opportunities that some people have to pay hard for, or in some cases, never have. Also: I forgot about Hiram Gonzales. Didn't he get a few drives during a senior game a few years back?
  14. BAWWW! WAAHH! Cry me a river, Boren. Yes, it's unfortunate that the innocent got punished, but the honest truth is that this is probably the most streamlined way to punish those involved and set an example (somehow) for others who consider the same thing. Normally, I don't like the idea of a group punishment for an individual offense, but this is sports, not gun control. Or maybe, just maybe, Boren wouldn't have this problem if he kept his players under control and kept this kind of under-the-table activity from happening in the first place.
  15. I'm wondering why the UH cheerleaders didn't go wreck the Duck. The guys looked big enough, easily.
  16. I'm pretty sure he could be the man with the deep pockets.
  17. I *think* this is all skin products that homeboy produces/sells. It is funny that they said the entire description for the organic aloeceutical bio-friendly eco-buddy specially-derived from this mother green earth product company.
  18. wooOOOOOAHHHHH!! OUCHBURN!
  19. I think UTA got taken for a ride here. It looks like a quick sketch done on paper, scanned in, done in lineart and combined with Copperplate Gothic. The Boise State one looks like someone really finessed it, UTA's looks like it was thrown together.
  20. It was either throwing it in the stands or running off with it. They'd never get it back if the students got hold of it; the poor head would be ripped to shreds and probably sold on eBay. Here's how far back I remember: I remember the Baylor '03 game, where for some reason, they put away their regular mascot and brought out some walking inflatable bear thing. At one point that thing ended up upside-down and Scrappy went and tried to knock it on its back. Edit- that Cougar took a beatdown.
  21. Ieans hasn't thrown a pass outside of practice as far as I know. Cullen Mills didn't do much in his one season here that I remember. Byerly had academic issues or something like that. Steve Warren played safety or something last I checked. Cooley, why did you even list these guys?
  22. Touche. Too bad J-Mo can't block well and keeps messing up that hamstring.
  23. The defense should be very aggressive. One of the great things about the DeLoach defense was that is was more like a offensive scheme. They didn't wait for things to happen, they made things happen. I'd be fine with our guys getting burned up too if they were blitzing. You know, let's like Evyn Roman redeem himself (not that I think he needs to) by being sent in on a blitz. Have the D come out in a zone with Roman blitzing. He's incredibly fast and even if he doesn't get the QB, I'm sure he'll chase him around a bit.
  24. Sure looks like it. If he had an injured hamstring that year (which he did), then the continuous use of it probably made it a bigger problem than it originally was. I remember in high school, I kept aggravating my (you guessed it) hamstring and it was a continuous problem for a while afterwards. Mind you, I didn't have anything besides a trainer to help out, but I would bet that his continuous use of that leg in his first year may have messed it up. For all we know, they ran James Mitchell in that one game because J-Mo simply couldn't run on that leg and J-Mo was playing with that injury all along.
  25. That's my bet. If you watch footage of him run, his strides are always pretty short and they seem awfully abrupt. Maybe that's not the cause, but having run track in HS, I can tell you that's not really the best way to do it, especially with pads on and with all the other impact of football. I'd look at getting him another rehab specialist or something. There HAS to be something up in his stride and motion that keeps aggravating his hamstring.
