  1. Girls are hot at most schools that someone could show up at. It's that simple. As for the NTSU reference, there are two possibilities: -The guys with the Ticket are illiterate and did not read "UNT" or "North Texas" on anything they saw. -They used NTSU out of disrespect.
  2. How much do you wanna bet we'll see better wordmarks in their process?
  3. If this LSU team is supposed to be even better than their previous championship year, our boys will have the fight of their lives on their hands. Deep in my heart, I know that our guys will get knocked around out there. But even deeper, I hope that they do win.
  4. 5'9" 160? Wow...for an RB, he's a little thin (not that I have room to talk). But if he's good enough to be a guy who can step in for our current batch of RB's, he has my support. Hope our QB situation works out well.
  5. 'Cuz you know...I'm gonna want to take two chickens and make them fight because South Carolina calls themselves the gamecocks. Come on, PETA- have some self-respect. You gotta know that this more of a bandwagon/press hype attempt than an actual and substantial stand! Man...the ethnic thing for the NCAA is tolerable since I understand both ends. BUT- this animal part...come on, I don't think anyone thinks, "South Carolina gamecocks...I'm gonna watch some chicken fighting!" I'm not a fan of that school but the name gamecocks isn't even in the same realm as wife-beaters. The PETA is just looking for some media attention. North Mean (Collared or Mustard) Greens! Hahaha
  6. These two guys deserve the press- they have the talent and discipline...but more than anything else, they have character. If they didn't, then we'd have a big problem as we'd have to decide to who start. But since these two are just such great people, they're fine either way. I admire their ability on the field, but I admire their character even more. There are a lot of players, especially in the NFL (cough TO cough) that can learn from these two. I'm getting a copy of the paper. Too bad I missed the FWS-T last week.
  7. Still clearing my first RFTH season and I'm having fits with my secondary. While TJ and Branch do any okay job, the whole secondary has trouble handling pass-heavy teams since the safeties seem a bit slow or the CB's get burned. Bad for me, but says good things about the programmers and how they improved the AI.
  8. I know that football has to occupy a lot of time for these guys, but they still have to get the work done. It's that simple.
  9. The whole tone of the school is the greatest change. Wish he wasn't leaving.
  10. If this means NMSU getting rid of that ugly, cross-toed image of their cowboy, fine by me.
  11. Washington and Warren seem like they could be great in the QB spot, but only time will tell.
  12. Rudy- Get this game. The others were just minor improvements, but this one is far, far better. Check gamespot.com or any reviews site to see the new features. There are a ton of new features this year, making it probably the only NCAA football worth moving to in the last few years.
  13. I'm not worried about La. Tech. I'm worried about MTSU. Why? MTSU has a new group of players reeling from what will doubtlessly be a rough and difficult game at LSU. The team will probably still be coming together and will definitely be healing from the Tigers. Taking them to another hostile game against a team who's wanted a piece of the UNT pie for the last 4 years won't be easy on them. Regardless of who the QB is, he'll be suffering from the fact that DD didn't give many in-game reps to the backup QBs...a lack of experience will be an issue with just about every position. Don't worry about La Tech right now. They're more than 1/2 way into the season. If you want to worry about an OOC game, worry about Tulsa, or better yet- Kansas State. Being able to put up a fight against Tulsa at home is a big issue since we play them here and the team is still pretty fresh for that game. Kansas State will also be a tough game, probably the toughest game outside of LSU. La Tech is a piddly team that should not concern the fans, especially in comparison to the tougher games on our schedule. UNT wins by 14.
  14. I read on the gamefaqs.com board (great for information on practically any videogame made) that if you pick teams from one conference and consistently beat them, you're more likely to get grabbed by that conference. For instance, if you play against MAC teams (don't know why you'd want to get in the MAC) and beat those teams for around 3 years straight, you'll probably get the invite.
  15. I want a win. I don't care how the score looks, but I want a win. However...LSU by 21.
  16. Remember Ron Dayne? He was a mammoth-sized man who had great speed. I'm sure our guy isn't any slower.
  17. I totally agree. As a matter of fact I went through the entire Tulsa game using Wishbone, pulling up Shotgun on maybe 4 plays.
  18. UNTgirl04- exactly. Just on a topic-related note: I'm getting better at this in RFTH mode. With a scrambling/running QB (with PassPower and Accuracy of about 85/80), Cobbs, Thomas and Mitchell coming from the Wishbone and with Quinn at WR, I'm having an offensive field day with Tulsa. Defensively...not so much.
  19. Be nice to the flower people's children though- remember that they wanted to add the Albino Squirrel as a new mascot. I mean, he'd be nice and threatening, right? On a related note- there are multiple chapters of the Albino Squirrels on a lot of different campuses around the country, most notably at UT. Someone explain to me the logic of having a mascot with a chapter on a rival campus!
  20. Sleep? Try having some warm milk or some turkey before bed. Both have some sort of enzyme that makes you drowsy. As for Varsity level- it's a much harder game than 2005 was. I like how player composure and field noise really come into play. I've had 2 fouled up pass plays where I called a hot route and the WR didn't hear it. The AI is just better overall this year and that makes the game a bigger challenge and a lot more enjoyable.
  21. Am I the only person bothered by the fact that the Sprint and Player Switch buttons are reversed from X and O to O and Xwhen on defense? It's cost me 2 TDs already. -edit- Lost a heartbreaker in RFTH mode to LSU. 0:01 in the 4th, FG attempt from the 28...wide right. Final score: 21-24.
  22. The game is great, minus the terrible EA Trax and the bad decision to put the lateral at the R2 button I also don't much like the awkward position of the sprint and juke stick (that can be fixed by going to the 05 control scheme). I don't run the option, and even if so, I don't want that button in such an easy-to-hit place. It should've been R3 or something else. I figure I can cut a notch out of the R2 or put some tape on it so I can feel it and not hit it by mistake.
  23. It wasn't on the Cube this year- I'm adjusting to controls since I'm using my PS2 for it this time.
  24. I can wait until Tuesday night or afternoon, I don't want to wait in line for an hour to pick a game I already have pre-paid.
  25. I'm certain that it is...unless the Ath Dept can pull strings. But if he doesn't have the grades to play, then he should'nt be on the field.
