  1. And Coach Fry's attitude is what I hope Coach Dickey has for all of our coming games. I'm sure Coach Fry had quite a few "burn-the-midnight-oil" worknights planning for that game. I want Coach Dickey to do the same for the Texas game.
  2. Evan is a scary, scary man. Sitting the stands, watching him rumble in for that TD was fantastic, then seeing him force the safety was awesome as he's pointing to the fans and I'm assuming members of his family, too. A lot of his plays saw Evan getting very, very close to that QB...not really for a sack, but a lot of pressure. He's putting his hands up to try to block passes, making smart moves to get the QB. And on offense, he makes some very nice blocks, many buying Dolezel time in the pocket. And of course- taking the ball in was just as awesome. I think he's proving his worth to the 'Rados.
  3. The MAC is a better conference right now, period. This isn't a shock to me and it shouldn't surprise anyone else. And as for the WAC- last season proved to me that at least for last fall, our team was not at all prepared for SunBelt play, much less WAC. Will it be different this year? I have a feeling about it.
  4. Ive been waiting to see him play and I missed it! BAH!
  5. Aren't there consequences from the NCAA for game drops, or is that if they do that closer to the start of the season?
  6. Is that woman serious?!! "Not important..." I swear...
  7. UNT91 - That picture needs to go on a giant sign!!!
  8. That's pretty funny. It's as simple as their provider just having some problems on their end that kept the Tuttle city page from being displayed. Not that we'd be missing anything anyways. That city's website looks like a bad Xanga put together by some 13-year old girl. The comic sans font says it all.
  9. No opposition here. I just want our coaches to be able to mop them up every time they play. An in-state rivalry is just what the doctor ordered, and aside from SMU, I can't think of a school I'd like to have that kind of hate-hate relationship with.
  10. I'm not worried about actual city law enforcement being abusive with public intoxication arrests. They've got heavier things to take care of than just alcohol busts. As for the TABC officers...I don't know about that.
  11. Here's hoping the TABC decides to be discriminating about who they bust. Otherwise, look for an angry mob.
  12. I saw the story on this the other night...it was pretty sad that they'd actually start arresting people who weren't actually drunk. But I wouldn't be shocked if TABC was going to be disbanded.
  13. Let's sell off to the Richards Group in Dallas. They're one of the biggest agencies in the business, and certainly one of the larger ones in Dallas. Or, sell off to Microsoft; they have a unit in Irving.
  14. I didn't see PC as an all-speed kind of guy. I always admired his ability to find and make holes in the defense. You can be as fast as you want, but that does no good if you never get to top speed, and if you never see your way past the D-Line.
  15. After seeing Evan Robertson and Deavin Cox at RB, I'd feel okay if we went without JT this season. I'd feel a little uneasy, but not so much as I felt when we didn't have PC before JT took over.
  16. I'll say the entire DL shined on both sides. Even if white's OL wasn't as strong, I still saw how fast the green DL attacked, and with quite a bit of ferocity. The white DL was no slouch either, they put up a good fight, repeatedly getting at Phillips and Ieans (when he switched sides) despite the OL's good blocking. DB's still kind of shaky, especially against guys with the skill/ability of Quinn and Jackson. I liked seeing those picks and swat-aways, and it made think of the days when we had Craig Jones in #22 back there, waiting to nail someone and with Jonas Buckles, looking for someone to plant. Can I say I feel a lot better about this team than last years? And this is solely based on performance during each respective spring game.
  17. Phillips, Wilson, Ieans, Meager. About Ieans- don't forget that he couldn't catch a snap, ran back 10yards to get the ball and ended up passing it to JQ. Yeah, it was a good play that got positive yards (I think), but most would've said he should've fallen on that ball. However, he did perform better than he has every year he's been here. Fast guy, good arm, I'd start him if Wilson weren't here. And minus that dropped snap, he's neck and neck. About Wilson- for someone who's learning a new system, he seems to have it down-packed in short order. He's well poised, but I think he scrambles a little too much. I do like how he follows through in his passing. And Phillips- I can't say enough how much I was impressed with him. He was able connect on some very narrow passes and he didn't seem at all rattled, even after taking some really hard hits. I'd have no qualms with Phillips leading the team if our season started tomorrow evening at 6PM.
  18. The team was very impressive- a world away from what we saw this time last spring. I liked #91 on defense. When his helmet came off, I figured he'd stay out the play, but instead, he went after it like he still had his pot on. He probably decided that he could see better and move faster without it on anyways. Matt Phillips was good in the pocket, period. He had two passes, to JQ and another to Nwigwe that I swore would either be dropped or knocked out. JQ's and Nwigwe's hands combined with Phillips' passing for some great plays. I was really impressed with Robertson and Cox, they are just plain fast. Jackson looks to be a great WR and a solid one this coming season. The defense on both sides showed showed pressure tonight, it looks like moving to the 3-4 has paid off major dividends. And here's something I heard from WW as he made it back to the sidelines after his first TD pass: "That's what it's about, that's what [expletive] need- leadership!"
  19. Green Team's house is so small, their welcome mat just says, "Wel".
  20. Green Team's mamma is about as smart as a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest.
  21. Yeah, you're a finely honed machine...Finely honed like a Kia. As for the White Team- "We're in business...business of...givin' you tha business."
  22. The White team shirts need to have this on the front: PARENTAL ADVISORY: EXPLICIT BUTT-KICKING
  23. I don't like that "UNT should just stay the way it is and not become a big school" mentality. In case no one noticed, we're one of the biggest schools in the state. Frankly, I don't see why we don't try to make UNT a big-name school, we're a public university, we're not a really exclusive school, and our academics aren't focused to just one field. If you applied that same mentality to a person, they'd graduate high school, never consider going to college, never try to better themselves, and they'd never be a better person in 20years than they are now.
  24. I'm sad we didn't get to play at Fouts. The green team would get to know how it felt for so many schools to get smashed on that field.
