Isn't this way that wins are traditionally earned? I know what you mean. It is almost like a shooting percentage in basketball - what percentage of your drives can you score on? Defensive stops will be few and far between.

AGREE!!!! Our offense is acceptable. It is still a growing process that needs time and players that more suitable to the scheme. I think the offense (even with Meager) is something most would say they are pleased with so far. But this defense will not work. There have been missed tackles and that always hurts, but you have to have the players in the right positions and coverage and I just don't see that happening.

My season tickets have me sitting in front of 3 SLC fans. During the FAU game, I asked a question about the defensive scheme and all three agreed that this was the same scheme used at SLC. It is a simple Thirds Zone or man-on-man most of the time and just got us killed by the FAU on down and out patterns. It needs an upgrade.

The blue lot setup needs to be reworked. The attendants need to fill from the far end so that the tents can be setup and not make everyone park so close. The lack of arm strength was really apparent tonight. FAU was daring us to throw the deep ball and we when did it was just a jump ball. The speed at db for FAU just killed the soft throws.

They usually pack it out against Florida St or Florida, but this was better game for them outside those two schools. I was rather shocked to hear this.
