I went last night. Sad to say it wasn't nearly as crowded as the week before, but I still had a good time. DD got on stage for a minute and tried to pump up the students before giving the mic to Johnny Quinn and possibly Brandon Monroe? I can't remember exactly. Yeah the live stream seems to work fine, the quality is just really low :-/ UNT should switch to CSTV like Tulsa. Anyways, the reason the interviews are so slow is like someone else said, the quality is a lot higher..2050kbps compared to most live feeds which are 300-400kbps.

There is nothing that you could buy at best buy that would improve your latency, unless of course you are using dialup instead of broadband, ha. What I'm experiencing is bad internet lag, not processor lag. The Tulsa stream worked fine, which I think was about 400kbps, while this stream is of less quality I believe, but stops quite frequently. Oh, and changing the buffering time won't help that much..but it is worth a try.

It's really strange, the archived game feeds run ok...but the interviews and highlights are incredibly choppy, ugh...

I would actually hope that the feed was coming from UNT servers, so we could go there in person and complain

Yeah I'm still experiencing lots chopiness, basically its just like watching an audio feed. Is this material provided privately by UNT? Or is it a third party vendor doing this for UNT?

Travis, that sounds like a bandwidth issue. Make sure no one else is using your broadband connection while you're trying to watch the video. I was actually experiencing some choppiness earlier. I'm just hoping it isn't choppy during the live feed. Is anyone else expericing choppy feeds through teh MG service?

I've seen a few posters out where I work, at the research park, but I agree they have too much going on in the background. Also, the unt posters are always plagued with tons of ads :-/

It's a net stream. CSTV has a free two week trial you can sign up for, so basically the game is technically free to watch, you just have to call. So anyways, yes I have tested it, its not as good as watching live tv, but its still decent enough to watch KingDL1 - Yes, I live on the square in a loft apartment, feel free to to stop by, invite whoever you want. I was reading the FAQ and it shows the stream is encoded at 400k - 500k which is actually pretty decent quality, better than my MLB.TV subscription. Anyways, I'm not sure who would be interested...but I have a projector in my apartment that I could hook up to a computer and we could have a watching party, granted the stream quality is worth watching. Anyone interested?

Yeah I read this article today, what a bunch of b.s. Obviously this guy knows nothing about college football, and probably hasn't been to a single home game. He's blaming the bad recruiting on the football program..but excusing the coach? I could've sworn recruiting was the responsibility of the coaches. Also he mentions that the reason why we are doing bad is due to attendance...even more ridiculous, hasn't our attendance avgs gone up almost every year if you don't count the year we played baylor at home? Plus playing a home game the weekend of thanksgiving while being 0-4 at home doesn't really entice a big crowd to come out. It's articles like this that make students like myself seem like idiots.
