Got this in my groupwise box today at work. UNT to name new football coach tonight President Gretchen M. Bataille and Rick Villarreal, athletics director, will hold a press conference at 7 p.m. tonight (Dec. 12) in the Mean Green Athletic Center, first floor Team Meeting Room, to name the university’s new head football coach. The new coach will hold a Question-and-Answer session as part of the press conference and will be available for a limited time to meet with campus fans who attend after participating in media interviews following the press conference.

Umm..I'll wait until next saturday to vote in this poll, I'm graduating next week!!

It'd be nice if they sent out a campus-wide email about this, or somehow notified students.

Haha..yeah I guess I forgot the fact that the Crimson Tide using an elephant makes completely no sense.

The big difference here is that both the Crimson Tide and Tulane's Green Wave can be thought of as tangible objects...Mean Green on the other hand seems like two adjectives describing nothing. I always wondered why we couldn't be officially the Mean Green EAGLES...thats still unique!

I originally planned on going to La Tech to major in computer science, but after going on a prospective freshman tour and saw how bad the dorms were, I decided to look elsewhere. A friend of mine who lived in the DFW area told me he was going to check out UNT in a couple of weeks, so I ended up taking a few days off from school to check it out, and ended up loving it. So here I am!

Wow, I was just thinking the same thing before coming to the board today. I've always wondered why we've never used Mitchell to carry the ball more often. Why not just hand it off to the FB once in awhile to throw off the defense?

I do think he should go, but I have a feeling we won't let him go since his contract is good until 2009 (I think) SIGH

Why does the Miami coach get his team to start chanting at the end?
