August 4th is the first day of practice I believe.

I went to the Mean Green Lunch at the Trophy Club thing today, it was worth the free lunch but the turnout was pretty pathetic. George Dunham, Johnny Quinn, and Mitch Maher (sp?) were in attendance, but other than that there were probably 5-7 people that weren't affiliated with the university. That said, the new Mean Green Club position has been filled, and the new guy was there...supposedly his 2nd or 3rd day on the job. TD answered a few questions about the roster, expectations on next season, and that he's still hoping for a stadium in 2010.

Any idea if you can make custom conferences? I know you could do this in off-line mode a couple years ago..that would solve the problem for online dynasties.

Unfortunately I bought mine through Amazon and I won't be getting it until Friday...sigh.

Another thing worth mentioning...unless conference's can be custom made for online dynasties, we might want to try to all choose teams in the same conference. Currently in the game the only part of the schedule you can change is the non-conference schedule, which would leave some of us to play a predominately CPU opponent schedule with only a few non-conference player vs player games.

Well I think we're going to be starting at the beginning of August at the very latest. Hopefully at the end of each season you can add more teams/players into the dynasty. We'll see how it works when the game comes out tomorrow.

Hey guys, Sorry I haven't posted on this thread lately. For all the PS3 users PLEASE pm me your email address so I can send out a message later this week after everyone has the game. If everyone gets the game on Tuesday, I was thinking we could start the league a week or so after once everyone gets accustomed to 09's game play. Also, as for who gets to be UNT, I was going to propose the idea of a "drawing straws" kind of thing so at least one of us gets to field the mean green. Let me know what you think. p.s. My non-bcs choice will be Rice (if not UNT) since I have family from Houston, and friends attending there.

Beer would be nice... Dominoes pizza is horrible, I wish UNT would change the family pass on that. The pizza is always a soggy mess..blah.

Yeah don't worry about talent... This will be my first to play it on the PS3, I haven't bought the game since 07 on the PS2 and it is considerably different. Besides, when it comes to these games.. I'm a lot like Mendoza, I don't know a thing about defensive play calling, I'm all offense =)

Doing an entire playoff between xbox and ps3 would be too difficult, because you'd have to have home advantage on each game and you would have to play the games in person. If we can get 10-12 people from this board alone, that line in Denton..then maybe. Otherwise we'll probably have to specific leagues per system =(
