I am glad you posted about the pregame and acoustics. I was impressed. The game atmosphere was like an nfl game. It was well done. Very polished producer. I was surprised at how many tents they had for tailgate. Certainly a non-traditional location. it is different from a traditional college game but since they have an indoor stadium I believe it all makes sense. i was shocked when the aac announced they have been chosen over la tech. I could not get my head wrapped around la tech’ overachieving football and good bball past. BUT, after see their crowd and game day experiance I may have not given them their due.

I would not be surprised by this. The coaches were very animated during the game. More than usual. I watched Seth and he looked very uptight. I imagine they know their jobs were on the line. Not sure I have ever felt that pressure. Seth believed there was a push off on the last play. Again like I mentioned earlier, the game had an intense vibe.

Not fun to walk out of a stadium after that. Intense game but it just sucks.

Just got to our seats. Bought tickets thru unt. It’s an hour before the game starts. Band is coming in right now to take their seats. Our seats are crap but what do visitors expect. Did not think we had many coming so expected better. I have to admit their tailgate looks pretty expansive in a large parking lot. Lots of people in orange. Surprised how many here this early.

Not seeing much of any green on the river this morning. Durtys not far from our hotel. May try and catch Astros post game. Try and find a sports bar on the river. At boudros (great food) now and then walk to dome I believe

If we happen to pull this game off, we need bar to meet up post game on the river.

I had a similar experience. We set up tent in the shade by Victory. There were mostly cheer tents and located in that area. I got there around 11 and just wanted to unload for about 10 minutes. They said no. Lot was vacant to an extent. Had to lug a lot of stuff from the higher lot. I did complain to a staff member (nicely) through a friend who is a large donor. We discussed the need to work with the “few” of us that not only attend games but try to create a gameday atmosphere and bring new people for the experiance. We were not trying to park in Ada just needed a few minutes to make things much easier.

I have not set up a tailgate in several years. My niece is a freshman so I am bringing my sister and about 20-25 who have never been to a game. Got blue lot tickets. Any ideas for location? I know Tony’s area and a another friend by him are prime but paid spots. Don’t want to be by the fraternities. Not cooking but bringing Hutchins bbq. Did that at last tailgate for Frisco bowl. Damn good bbq
