It’s a great trip. My dad and I made the ride up the Hudson on game day. One of my favorite times for a game days trip

Have a Very Merry Christmas - Mean Green Nation!

Merry Christmas to some of the best fans in college football. Tough job but somebody has to do it. At least hold on best we can in this new world order. -
Just how out of whack is college football?

Somewhere the nuts are running the asylum -
My cousin has been a loyal booster for Sam Houston for a long time. Back in the early eighties I took many a trip to Huntsville for football and basketball games with him. He is still active and traveled with the team to several games this year. He told me today that their defense is what kept them in many games this year. He said this hire should be a nice one for us. He said Keeler was good to head back to Pennsylvania and also they upped his salary a million over what he was making. Maybe now at 1.6

McNeese State (11/18/24)
kingwoodgreen replied to Censored by Laurie's topic in Mean Green Basketball
This is straight up ugly basketball. We keep driving right into their defense and trying to force shots. Out defense is good but offense is shall I say crap. -
Glad to see cozy oaks from a few guys. This was my take a date to place. the old sig epp house was down the street from sub hub. Pretty sure I helped with kenny’s retirement. When I did not like what the house was serving for dinner I took a walk and my friend Jeff Kruger worked there. He and his brother later opened a sub hub by uta bscore sub hub was Nemo’s sub texas pick was the ultimate place off campus also to impress the nationally known beautiful woman of north Texas state.

How did they pull that off. That would have been a great draw for us. An acc team in our house. We could go there for a bball game. I am full in on that …

My son graduated from there. And they actually don’t say much… very quiet nerds

Agree, without the relationships how can you motivate and mentor.

Saban seems to be the voice of reason. But this thing seems like it is becoming to hard to reel back in. How did this go down the drain so quick…

Wished we had thousands more fans like you. -
My youngest daughter recently graduated from Arkansas (and yes that game I had lots of friend and family with us, but that’s another story). Her boyfriend’s mother and husband are huge boosters. So last year and just recently we were invited to join them in their suite for Saturday bball game. And while watching the game I am taking notes why their game day atmosphere is so electrifying and fun. My thought is IF WE COULD DO 50% of this it would be a game changer for the students and guests * lots of families, so groups are 4-5 * band - big deal, I counted around 70. They are playing all pre game. Anything from classics to Ozzy. Really loud and with pump up music. They take an entire corner section * the announcer is a professional. He is on all pregame with getting the crown into the game at all times. The guy is great at what he does. Makes a difference at lulls. * they call the hogs we have the north Texas chant * lots of stuff going on in the corridor. They sell memorabilia and stuff. This last game they had piglets for kids to hold, very popular and looked fun. * light show was cool and entrace My main thoughts was the atmosphere was hyped and fun. The most the game but guarantee the crowd was upset but still had a great time. These items seem doable but my goal would be to enlarge the band. I know this may be hard but it is the pulse of the arena. Sure if they get to play cool songs the musicians sound like to be a part of it

So older alum here. I am trying to hang onto my love of college sports and North Texas athletics. I have enjoyed the resurgence of the program since Grant got here. I am also a fan of Johnny Jones and see him occasionally here in Houston area. I have learned to love our hustle defense and grinding offense. And seeing us on tv down here in Kingwood is a blast for me. So may make this two posts since doing from my phone and don’t want to make too long but have slot of thoughts FWIW

I kept thinking we were running away with this game early on. I am shocked we lost this game. What 12-8 now? Do we think we make the nit this year ?
-
Quite a turn a round for utsa though. they were really bad last year.

Column: Top 5 places to cry (or have sex) on UNT campus
kingwoodgreen replied to Skipper's topic in Mean Green Football
Science research building. Lower levels in the book stacks. Very private and most don’t know the place exists. Still think about that place to this day.. -
Yes, that was an upset that is not getting as much attention as it deserved. Most of the aac played well even in loses. Did not see Marshall beating ecu in that contest
