  1. I think Michael Redd, Corey Maggette, or Mike Miller, in that order of preference, could all be had for someone on the current roster.
  2. Maybe the Mavericks would have welcomed an opening round series with the Jazz. Josh always seems to bring his A game aginst them.
  3. I'm just saying that maybe what the Hornets are doing to the Spares might lessen the view of this year as a Disaster. I don't think very many people viewed them as a legit #2 seed when the playoffs began.
  4. I realize that the NCAA would never release the name's of the offenders, and that it's really none of my business, but I'd sure like to take a look at that list.
  5. Bingo. That guy had a little something.
  6. Does watching this series make anyone else feel at least sightly less depressed about what the Mavericks threw out there in round one? Take that Houston (Obligatory shot at in state non-rival)
  7. Guess I'll have to look into getting HBO up and running again. Anyone remember the name of the "Singing Cowboy" from the 02 version?
  8. I'd say Truman's a pretty solid punter. I'd set the bar at 6 wins, give or take 2. In my opinion this season will boil down to how big of a step forward Vizza takes this year. The defense will be vastly improved, but it they get put in many of the same situations as the group last year following untimely interceptions, it wont show as much as it should. We found out about Vizza's toughness last year, now it's time to see some improvement in decision making. Year two in a system is usually where you see what a guy's got.
  9. Dallas went 67-15 and blew it to the 42-40 Warriors. Boston went 66-16 and could potentially blow it to the 37-45 Atlanta Hawks. Are you saying that the fact that Dallas won one more game in the regular season last year would overshadow the fact that Boston would be knocked out by a team eight games below .500? I think those sports fans up in Boston deserve a little collapse action these days. Just wait and see how long it takes for Celtics fans to declare they really only care about the Red Sox.
  10. If Boston somehow finds a way to lose this series with Atlanta...... thats a bigger collapse than Dallas last year. Not that it really means anything, but it'd make me feel a little better.
  11. Fazikas was a 2nd round pick who might be the most notorious wogger to ever step foot on an a NBA court.
  12. If that's the case, then ESPN has every right to label the Celtics the "Mean Green."
  13. WTF?
  14. I find it extremely hard to believe that Cuban would have pulled the trigger on the 2nd and more expensive version of the Kidd deal were his head coach not eager for it to be done. I think Avery was dying to get Kidd in here because he assumed that an all time great PG would be perfect for HIS system. It seems to me that the only type of style Avery can/will coach is the style he himself played in SA.
  15. I'm sure that as soon as Avery's ass is fired by Cuban he'll get a new job within a month, but the dude is sorry. IMHO he will never win a championship or even have playoff success unless he coaches the exact same type of team he played for in SA. The guy believes that the only way a PG can lead a team is the way he did it in SA. He simply does not realize that different PGs play different ways. He had 2 above average PGs in his tenure wit the Mavericks. Sadly neither of his PGs played the same kind of game he did, which was slow it down and find isolated scorers in the half court without movement. He tried to force an athletic Harris to do it his way. When that failed he begged for Kidd. Kidd is a great PG and because of how great Kidd was, Avery assumed that he was the same kind of PG that Avery himself was. Not true.Avery has won a championship as a player, but he does not know enough about the game to adapt to any style of play other than what he as a player did in SA. I feel sorry for the next team that hires him.
  16. I'm done with J-ho. Dude has completely lost his basketball IQ. How often does he have the ball in his hands when the shot clock goes off? We all know b-ball players smoke weed in the offseason..... great idea bragging about it in the middle of your worst playoff slump ever. F-ing moron. God I feel terrible for Dirk. How do you win a playoff series when your best teammate is a total f-ing ass? It doesn't help when your coach just keeps forcing minutes on a totally ineffective Stack and Josh. I'm not saying Wright or anyone else on the bench is great, but in the second quarter when they were still in it he just keeps forcing Stack into the game. If you ask me, Bass needs to start at the 3 next game...... if only to wake up J-Ho's sorry weed smoking ass. My heart goes out to Dirk and Cuban.
  17. Loved it. If you have Verizon cable you can get it On Demand.
  18. Yea.... everyone loves having the track surrounding the field, right? It gives our cheerleaders plenty of room to hand out. Not to mention it being a perfect place for the guys with North Texas flags to run after scores....
  19. I don't often disagree with you're (usually spot on) opinions, but do you not think that the fact that Dale brings up his personal vendetta with Jerry every time he discusses the Cowboys completely taints whatever stance he may take? With his line of reasoning he can never lose. If they do well, it obvious that they should have done so. Whenever they come up short, it's because of the same Jerry heavy handiness that got his ass fired. How can he lose with this line of reasoning? As far as Dale is concerned, anyone in the DFW market that disagrees with him has a flawed way of thinking (case in point The Ticket.) When are people going to wake up and realize that the only time of the year that Dale's worth watching is when he rolls out Thank God For Kids?
  20. Blowhard Unplugged. "He had me fired the day after I quit." Can that ass say one thing about the Cowboys without mentioning this? You're walking out? Well shut up!!
  21. The Cowboys only have 2 running backs under contract, one of them is garbage, and the article seemed to mention that the Cowboy's had been in some kind of contact with him. If he was a practice squad guy for the Cowboys next year I'd be in the market for a new Jersey.
  22. I think things might go better for the MAVS on Friday. I heard Del Harris called and gave Avery somethings to think about after Game 2.
