  1. This would have never happened if we had a new stadium.
  2. The answer to all of our problems. I have no idea why this is not getting more attention. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwV1VZcPvt0
  3. It accelerates because it only weighs 1536lb thats about 1000lbs less than a new civic coupe. Weigh it down with crash safety features and its performance is gone. BTW haven't you said many times on here that you would never trade the safety of a big truck for the economics of a little car?
  4. Beats a kick in the rear.
  5. Actually, as cool as the Ferrari looks it only runs high 12s in the 1/4 mile. The Carrera GT runs mid 11s. It wouldn't take a top fuel dragster to embarrass those numbers. Growing up my dad and I had a Nova II that ran 9's on pump gas. From the looks of it that little go-kart probably runs 10's and weighs about 1/4 of the other two cars. I don't see a production model putting up that kind of performance while passing any sort of safety standards.
  6. A 2.5 gives you a full ride but my 3.7 landed me $23,000 in debt........
  7. That would make more sense..... but even then, #17????? Theres probably 30 running backs in college football that would merit selection prior to Fitz. Maybe a Non-BCS College Football Fantasy Magazine.
  8. I love the guy, but #17 in a mock draft? Thats just crazy talk. His physical tools alone rule that out.
  9. Gagree. No more for me.
  10. Reducing capacity to under 45K!!! Many on this board would suggest you should drop down to 1AA if your plans include a stadium that small.
  11. Not just a pro athlete, but a pro athlete with absolutely no collegiate experience.
  12. Too top secret for the top secret recruiting forum!?!?! Should I have even looked at these just now? I don't want to have to go back into hiding.
  13. I can't wait to switch to all electric means of transportation...... I mean, surly the cost of electricity wouldn't be raised at all! We'll all make out like bandits! 20 years from now those of us still alive will be bitching and moaning about how much we're paying for a kilowatt of juice at the Shell station.
  14. There's always at least 3 games televised by ESPN+. They're usually on UPN or KDFI, but they're produced by ESPN. I really don't understand what your problem is with a state of the art, new stadium. UNT, as far as I'm concerned, does not need a new stadium because Fouts it to small, they need one because Fouts is a total S hole located 10 feet form I35.
  15. 26. (05/16) Josh Howard - That's Crazy, Man! (208k) on the favorites page. For anyone that's not heard Josh the day after offseason began, this was his responce to a question on what was wrong with his shot during the Hornets series: http://droppage.theticket.com/joshhowardcrazyman.mp3
  16. Kudos, I kept checking back for like 3 weeks after they first played that and it still hadn't appeared. Now I've got a new ring tone.
  17. Right for UNT or right for A&M? Do different programs not have different needs? Like I've said before, filling in a horseshoe wouldn't be that daunting of a task. The fact that it would even need to be filled in would mean attendance figures have maxed out a 30K stadium. At that point ticket revenues alone would be a great starting point for expansion funding. How sad would it look to have one of our 3 ESPN televised games a year showcase a 50K seat, brand new stadium with both end zones as empty as they are at Fouts? On the other hand, how nice would the publicity of having to expand seating in order to meet demand sound both in the local and Sunbelt/regional media?
  18. Speaking of funny audio clips, if anyone knows where I can get the stoned audio of Josh Howard not being "able to control what the ball do.... It's crazy man." I'd appreciate it.
  19. Sadly, by the time I returned from a "Fun/Casual Monthly Lunch Meeting" all threads in this wing worth replying to had been locked. I do however applaud the recent attempts by some others in here to send the Gas Prices thread to a similar demise.
  20. Does anyone else remember the little video they played of our "New Stadium" during the ESPN broadcast of some game like 3 years ago. I think it was either Tulsa or Troy. The gullible college student that I was at the time got pretty damn pumped over the prospect of watching games there before I graduated.....
  21. Apparently UNT has quite an extraordinary collection of organs. I took a series of lectures in the main auditorium of the Auditorium Building and noticed the giant organ that resides in there. This was in 2003, but at the time that I inquired about it there were only two if it's kind in all of North America, and the one UNT has is the older of the two. I think it was originally in some church in Michigan or Wisconsin. When it comes to somewhat trivial accomplishments UNT has got it on lock down. If I remember right we also have one of the largest collections of miniature books...
  22. Somewhere Checkfacts is feverishly attempting to come up with another legitimate e-mail address so he can get in here and tear this thread apart....
  23. From Wise County? Or just that big of a football fan?
  24. I support the "Trinity Fork" idea! At my high school our chief rival was situated just across the Trinity River. Our series was called the "Battle of the Big Sandy." I'd be interested if anyone on here has any idea what schools I'm referring to. My guess would be no......
