  1. I love the guy, but #17 in a mock draft? Thats just crazy talk. His physical tools alone rule that out.
  2. Gagree. No more for me.
  3. Reducing capacity to under 45K!!! Many on this board would suggest you should drop down to 1AA if your plans include a stadium that small.
  4. Not just a pro athlete, but a pro athlete with absolutely no collegiate experience.
  5. Too top secret for the top secret recruiting forum!?!?! Should I have even looked at these just now? I don't want to have to go back into hiding.
  6. I can't wait to switch to all electric means of transportation...... I mean, surly the cost of electricity wouldn't be raised at all! We'll all make out like bandits! 20 years from now those of us still alive will be bitching and moaning about how much we're paying for a kilowatt of juice at the Shell station.
  7. There's always at least 3 games televised by ESPN+. They're usually on UPN or KDFI, but they're produced by ESPN. I really don't understand what your problem is with a state of the art, new stadium. UNT, as far as I'm concerned, does not need a new stadium because Fouts it to small, they need one because Fouts is a total S hole located 10 feet form I35.
  8. 26. (05/16) Josh Howard - That's Crazy, Man! (208k) on the favorites page. For anyone that's not heard Josh the day after offseason began, this was his responce to a question on what was wrong with his shot during the Hornets series: http://droppage.theticket.com/joshhowardcrazyman.mp3
  9. Kudos, I kept checking back for like 3 weeks after they first played that and it still hadn't appeared. Now I've got a new ring tone.
  10. Right for UNT or right for A&M? Do different programs not have different needs? Like I've said before, filling in a horseshoe wouldn't be that daunting of a task. The fact that it would even need to be filled in would mean attendance figures have maxed out a 30K stadium. At that point ticket revenues alone would be a great starting point for expansion funding. How sad would it look to have one of our 3 ESPN televised games a year showcase a 50K seat, brand new stadium with both end zones as empty as they are at Fouts? On the other hand, how nice would the publicity of having to expand seating in order to meet demand sound both in the local and Sunbelt/regional media?
  11. Speaking of funny audio clips, if anyone knows where I can get the stoned audio of Josh Howard not being "able to control what the ball do.... It's crazy man." I'd appreciate it.
  12. Sadly, by the time I returned from a "Fun/Casual Monthly Lunch Meeting" all threads in this wing worth replying to had been locked. I do however applaud the recent attempts by some others in here to send the Gas Prices thread to a similar demise.
  13. Does anyone else remember the little video they played of our "New Stadium" during the ESPN broadcast of some game like 3 years ago. I think it was either Tulsa or Troy. The gullible college student that I was at the time got pretty damn pumped over the prospect of watching games there before I graduated.....
  14. Apparently UNT has quite an extraordinary collection of organs. I took a series of lectures in the main auditorium of the Auditorium Building and noticed the giant organ that resides in there. This was in 2003, but at the time that I inquired about it there were only two if it's kind in all of North America, and the one UNT has is the older of the two. I think it was originally in some church in Michigan or Wisconsin. When it comes to somewhat trivial accomplishments UNT has got it on lock down. If I remember right we also have one of the largest collections of miniature books...
  15. Somewhere Checkfacts is feverishly attempting to come up with another legitimate e-mail address so he can get in here and tear this thread apart....
  16. From Wise County? Or just that big of a football fan?
  17. I support the "Trinity Fork" idea! At my high school our chief rival was situated just across the Trinity River. Our series was called the "Battle of the Big Sandy." I'd be interested if anyone on here has any idea what schools I'm referring to. My guess would be no......
  18. You jest, but he'll do it just to spite Mean Green fans...
  19. I just hope it was consensual..... "It's just like having sex with Kobe Bryant. You can kick and scream all you want...but it's still gonna happen." My favorite Family Guy quote of all time.
  20. Thats a lot. I was in the minority that loved/supported athletics but I would have been pretty upset with those kinds of increases. The student body is already troubled by the rising costs of tuition since deregulation. Throw in incremental increases like that and you're going to have a full fledged mutiny against athletics.
  21. Is Fish Camp different than freshman orientation? I remember being forced to sit through like 4 days of that b/s. Lots of rhyming, singing, dancing, chants, and me wanting to kill myself. They kept us there for 4 days and we only did like 2 hours worth of useful college preparation.
  22. Don't you mean dial in the crazy brain washing?
  23. I like having the chance to dream about an upset. It's nice to be able to trash talk whoever you know that roots for OU/UT/LSU/ect... for weeks up to the game.
  24. I was torn between yes/no. I voted no because I really do think it should be up to the students that attend said university to decide if they want to fund a somewhat superfluous endeavor. Don't take that as me calling a new stadium superfluous, but I can guarantee its how the majority of the student body view’s it. I’ve overheard and taken part in discussions on campus to the theme of “They don’t even halfway fill Fouts and they all of a sudden need a new one?” Imposing a fee on students that already resent the athletic department will do nothing but cause an even larger disconnect between students and athletics. I realize what a new stadium would mean to UNT’s future, and I wouldn’t be disappointed if a fee was imposed. I’d just rather it not have to come to that.
