  1. I may be having a conversation with myself here, but damn Greg Norman was spectacular today. I never thought I'd say it but I actually wish Tiger was playing just to see how the Shark's game would hold up alongside him. So much for the Norman/Duval final pairing....... Anyone not watching this is missing out on something pretty special. Remember when the "Golden Bear" made a his run to win the 1986 Masters at the age of 46. The man he stormed past was Greg Norman. Now at the age of 53 the Shark is looking to win the first major he's even entered in the last 4 years. I'm not sure if I think he'll do it, but the way he's driving the ball I really wouldn't be surprised.
  2. I'm not in the mood to get back into the heart of this discussion because I'm pretty sure everything that could possibly be said already has, but.........I would support the elimination of Pit Bulls at the Denton City Dog Park. I was out there earlier this week when a man came strolling up with two gnarly looking pits, one slightly limping and both walking in the submissive manner that suggests abuse. It didn't take long for my Aussie and I to make a bee line for the exit.
  3. Crossing my fingers for a final day paring of any two of these three, Greg Norman, David Duval, and Rocco.
  4. Gagree
  5. I love the Shark. I hope the guy is able to hang around til the weekend. Think I might treat myself to a bottle or two of his finest tonight as a tribute to his greatness.
  6. You can find them at NT (Bookstore.)
  7. I'll watch just about any final round coverage if it's close, but for me there's no better (offseason) entertainment than the world's best struggling around a course that I couldn't break 130 on. That coupled with the chance to see more than Tiger, Tiger montages, and commentators talking about Tiger, has me kinda pumped about the British this year. Plus The Shark in the hunt.......through ten holes! Refreshing live updates on a computer screen has never been so exciting.
  8. Huh...... Great idea.
  9. To begin the season, Micah Mosley.
  10. I expect that once Cam gets himself onto the field, Mosley and whoever else are active will find it difficult to get him back off.
  11. Nope, I can't claim that as an excuse, my day starts with the 8:40 bit. More than the actual training camp coverage, I'm looking forward to a couple visits from the Skinlanin Brothers. The only excuse I can claim is that my hatred for the Dave Mathews Band causes an immediate power down once it's recognized.
  12. I think he's about as serious as this guy, which still leaves me confused.
  13. I only wish I was that successful. Then my car wouldn't be 9 years old.
  14. I haven't a clue what you mean..... I don't think there's anything in the world that causes me to power down/tune out quicker than Dave Mathews or the rest of his Jam Band knock off minions. My only major complaint from my time spent at UNT was the drone of a different Jam/Cover band each night on Fry Street for 6 years in a row.
  15. 2000 E430. Now that I've committed to never exceeding 64mph, the little V8 gets about 26mpg. Up until gas hit about $2.50 I was cruising my dream car. Stroked 383, gets about 7mpg and leaks a little gas out the neck of the tank in the back. One of these days it'll be back for good.
  16. Damn it.... I knew I should have bought a stupid PS3 instead of a zune. Haven't really played video games since NCAA 04, but with the new uniforms and the fact that the PS doubles as a BlueRay player, I'm just going to have to bite the bullet. It will probably be a couple weeks, but if I could I'd sign up for PS3/Hofstra. Back in 04, The Pride were absolute killers.
  17. Why would you be thinking from that standpoint? What is one good thing that can come from burning a year of his eligibility?
  18. 2nd place after the first round was 20hr's behind him. He gets to skip the 2nd round and go right to the finals.
  19. I'll second that. Riley playing next year would be essentially the same thing as the Rangers going out and totally screwing up their farm system to bring in another starter for the second half this year. Are we really that concerned in year two the Dodge experience that people want to burn up a year of UNT's most significant recent recruit's eligibility. Next season, as much as we are all eagerly anticipating progress, is not going to be this teams breakout year. In all reality we're at least one more season away from having a roster, top to bottom, suited to execute the playbook. I'm my opinion, to throw Riley out there this season (especially at any position other than QB) would be pure shortsighted lunacy.
  20. Terror. (I needed to tweak your question before it could be answered.) Somewhere JWP is breathing a sigh of relief that he lives in a country where every political blunder quickly dissolves into another discussion of Bush and his war........
  21. Well, JWP is a well known Democrat on the local political scene. I would assume that Obama/Price would make a little more sense than McCain/Price on that ground alone. You can throw around whatever racial allegations you choose, JWP would probably agree with them.
  22. ZING!!!!! I know what you're referencing!!!(hand raises) Pick me! Pick me! Pick me! Why couldn't they have just called it a White Hole???If you ask me Einstein was a dirty racist, and his general theory of relativity was nothing but a ploy to keep the black man perpetually down. Obama/Price 08!!!!!!
  23. I actually ate at both the Pour House and Central Grill today. Had Central Grill for lunch and then took the girlfriend and her friend to the Pour House so they could have Mojitos. Had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich at both establishments and although the food was hands down better at Central Grill(not to mention quite a bit cheaper) the Theater Room at Pour House was the perfect place to take in the Rangers game. If you ask me Central Grill is the place for pregame grub, Pour House is absolutely the place to take a game in.
  24. I can just hear him asking her "How bout a Marlboro Red bitch?"
