  1. Call me cynical, but I'm not sure he actually won..... had that close call been between two other spares, I think the gold would have gone the other way.
  2. I don't like to picture the VIP board as a negative place. I like to think of it as a peaceful oasis where the best of the best UNT fans can discuss the issues that only they are mature enough to handle. One day, when I'm ready, I like to imagine myself reading the VIP board...... maybe even sharing an opinion or two.
  3. Damnit....... Foiled by the VIP board again. I really might have liked to see how Dozer's questions were answered.
  4. Still need two more teams if we're gonna roll with twelve...
  5. I've only got one, but I'm quite sure of it's validity. Thurman Munson single handedly caused the onset of the Irish Potato Famine, regretted it, grew a mustache and chops to disguise himself, and eventually put an end to it. Pre-Famine Post-Famine
  6. I'm glad that you finally have an official presence on the board...... I love you Brett. PS: Although some on here might give you grief for the nickname Nate "get in shape" Jenkins, I enjoyed it.
  7. Lets not screw up a good debate with legitimate/relevant information.......
  8. I never intended to turn this into Vizza bashing, and I would love for him to take huge strides forward this year. As to what I meant by shortcomings, descision making and struggles with accuracy downfield, most of his interceptions were basically prayers thrown deep. The guy's got tons of moxy, but to assert that he's much more talented than Scott...... why? He (Vizza) gets 45 chances per game to throw the ball, and averages 6 yards a completion. In all of Scott's years at UNT he never had more than 33 attempts in a game, and had more than 30 only twice. I realize he was our most recent successful QB, but to compare the two is impossible.
  9. Our struggles in Iraq are because you cannot "force" freedom and democracy on people. Potato/Tomato....
  10. You say helping out struggling democracies of Iraq and Afghanistan , I say struggling to force democracy onto Iraq and Afghanistan..... Potato/Tomato
  11. I like Vizza, he's one hell of a tough kid, and seems to be a good enough leader. I do however think that many on this board seem to forget his shortcomings and focus solely on his stats which in this offense would be difficult not to replicate. Vizza's the perfect guy to run this team for one more year while Dodge gets this program ready to roll. I have a hard time imagining Vizza holding on to the reins once Riley's ready.
  12. Although I prefer OU to UT...... Seeing a Sooner logo on a Texas plate would be incredibly jarring.
  13. I too would like to see Riley redshirt, but I wouldn't expect 4 years of Vizza and only 2 of Riley. Might wanna switch those two numbers. I'd say best possible case scenario for all parties involved would be redshirt Riley, allow Vizza to start and showcase his talent, then Vizza either transfers or becomes a more than capable version of Daniel Meager his last two years.
  14. Damn...... I've got to get off my butt and get verizion out to my new apartment. Anyone wanna give JQ updates for those of us without cable?
  15. What is this "Sarcasm" you speak of?
  16. Actually he's a trap shooter, trap and skeet are completely different events. Also he's only 43. My dad was on the National Champion Texas team with the guy and routinely out shot him. He's a really nice guy from St. Joe with enough money to build his own international trap field to practice on everyday. It really ticks my dad off that he didn't bother to try and qualify, though he insists that he'd much rather be home working instead....
  17. Did anyone else notice how they made Wade out to be a giggling bumpkin, while Red-Ball's voice was the one heard in all "coaching" situations?
  18. Deep sleeper....... I hope you follow through on this bold claim.
  19. But plenty of Cam.....When he's on the field he just looks so smooth. I predict that early in the season Cam slips himself into J-Mo vacated spot and Mosley continues his role from last year.
  20. Like I said, theres nothing wrong with the stadium in the pictures, but HKS wouldn't put their name on anything that bland.
  21. That was my hope. Don't get me wrong, thats a fine looking stadium, and certainly a vast upgrade, but it's not on the same level as HKS' other ventures.
  22. If we are supposedly working with HKS on the stadium project, why do these renderings appear to have been prepared by F&S Partners? That would lead me to believe that these are either outdated, of HKS is out of the picture.
  23. My source close to the situation tells me that a well known board member will take a shot at Nautique long before anyone insults Fentriss. Don't ask me who told me this because I would never reveal my source...... I wouldn't even reveal a false source for fear that my real source might take offense.
  24. I'm in. First year with multiple leagues...... might be in over my head...
  25. Apparently it's going to be an open competition for the starting job now. I predict Ted Thompson pays a little know FA to accidentally roll up on Favre's leg..... JQ anybody???????
