  1. It is a bit long for an intro. You could use the 30ish seconds or so leading up to the “Are you ready?” line. I just think it would be really cool to hear that guitar and drum build for a bit with the team in the tunnel to see them run out as Jonathan Davis growls, “are you ready?” and the fireworks go off and the crowd goes crazy as the song really opens up after that line. Would be amazing. Would also love to see the team run out to Stone Cold’s song and smash some beers on the 50 and start shotgunning them. Or maybe they could do Blind at the beginning of the game and Stone Cold beer chugging for the 2nd half? Pretty sure we’d sell some tickets to be able to see that happen!
  2. Few songs can build up to an intense intro like the first minute of KoRn’s Blind.
  3. Those prices are per table. So it could be split with friends or fellow alumni. Details say 8 per table for the $1,000 white section. So it’s just $125 per person and includes 2 drinks. I don’t think that’s bad at all to see Pat Green in a unique venue with less than 900 attendees. I’m not even a big fan of Pat Green and I’m thinking about getting some friends together for this.
  4. This was hard to attend. My wife went to TCU so she really wanted to go. But at least we got to check going to a national championship game off of our bucket list. ✅ I’m just really glad it was raining so I could cover the purple I had to wear with the only raincoat I own… a UNT raincoat. I was the only person in that stadium sporting any green and I loved it. Go Mean Green!
  5. The Green Room is also available as a podcast. I don’t watch it on YouTube, but I listen to it. I really like the shorter form of it. Most episodes are around 30ish minutes so it works really well for me. I also liked the Firing Boomer podcast last year, but I don’t think they put anything out this year.
  6. Don’t kill the messenger here. A history of 20+ point losses in big games, having fired your head coach for such performances, being a 12 point underdog, and an 8:15 pm kickoff doesn’t encourage a lot of people to buy tickets. I understand none of these are valid reasons for a hardcore fan like those of us who spend time on this board. But for the casual fan, which is what you need to sell out a bowl game, these are some of the reasons to not go.
  7. Least impressive hires so far. But considering how outstanding all the other hires have been, this isn’t saying a whole lot. Hope they can be successful here!
  8. Did these people even follow his career here? Certainly not. I’ve had no problems justifying his firing to people who have asked me about it. The only thing I feel bad about for SL is all this money that’s been pumped into assistants and other staff that SL wasn’t given. But then EM hires someone and I ask myself if SL would have hired this person or someone better/more valuable. The answer is “no” and I don’t feel so bad anymore.
  9. Jason Bean doing Jason Bean things in 3rd OT tonight. Was a great come from behind effort to tie it at the end of regulation on KU’s part. Really fun game to watch.
  10. Anyone go tag Eric Morris in Kason’s tweet yet? 😂
  11. @TheReal_jayD I noticed you now have HC and OC combined and attributed to Eric. Can you confirm that Eric will be serving the OC role too?
  12. I believe the $1.2M number that was floating around about EM was never substantiated or sourced out. As far as I know, that’s still pure speculation at this point.
  13. Here is his salary from last year. Really makes you wonder how much did we have to pay him? 😮 This staff is getting ridiculously crazy and I love it!
  14. https://247sports.com/Season/2023-Football/TransferPortal/?institutionkey=24021 In addition to the previously mentioned DB that hit the portal 2 days ago, there’s a LB and a S that are still available in the portal.
  15. When a player decides to “test the portal,” is their scholarship still available to them at the previous school if they decide to go back? Or is that a coaches decision on whether or not to welcome them back?
  16. With all these offensive positions being filled, I have to believe that the incoming OC is still preparing for a bowl game. But who could it be?
  17. I mean, if we’re going to pluck staff from UT, can Patterson come be our DC? 😂 Seriously impressed with this hire though!
  18. This is actually not a bad idea. Catch players at their second collegiate stops and they have to sit out a year if they decide to leave you too. That alone will probably keep most of them from leaving your program. Make a name for developing the talent and this is a real viable recruiting strategy.
  19. You mean... kinda like how the new HC has worked with pro and college players?
  20. Seeing these posts and stuff in here, this was my thought: How many of these kids are being told to reopen their recruiting and start looking elsewhere? Thanks for confirming that this is happening. Perhaps not true for all, but at least some. It's not like the university has anything to gain by making a tweet or putting out a press release that an offer is no longer valid under new leadership. So let the kids save a little face and do it themselves.
  21. I liked the jackets the ball boys were wearing at the end of the season too.
