  1. I thought their band was just a barbershop quartet???
  2. I'm a little more optimistic than Vegas. I'll take the over.
  3. I like stopping in there when I'm passing through on a trip to Austin or Houston. And some of their stuff is pretty cheap. For example, their Lodge cast iron pans are cheaper than I've seen anywhere, including Amazon. Also, they tend to carry a lot of college merch. I hope to find some good UNT stuff if they put one up in the university's back yard. But if I walk in to find a bunch of the same old UT, ATM, SMU, TTU, TCU, (Sucks to) BU, SFA, & TSU garbage, I'm going to be royally pissed and will never go again. Wifey will have to go in alone to use the restroom because none of us here are dumb enough to deny them the ability to use the restroom there. :)
  4. I voted, then logged into an account I run for work and voted again. All tied up at 50% now
  5. I cut the cord a long time ago and am technically not a "subscriber" of ESPN. However, it's pretty easy to gain access to their content with technology nowadays. And while I don't watch it nearly as much as I used to, I still have no problems consuming ESPN's content.
  6. And is a damn shame considering there is NO WAY that Art was the only member of the football staff associated with this cover up.
  7. The section about the football program that starts on page 10 refers to coaches and staff in the plural form. There were several people involved in this. Art Briles was not the only one covering this up. I think there will be more dismissals when they find out how far this cover up went. "In addition, some football coaches and staff took improper steps in response to disclosures of sexual assault or dating violence that precluded the University from fulfilling its legal obligations." "The choices made by football staff and athletics leadership, in some instances, posed a risk to campus safety and the integrity of the University." "...athletics and football personnel affirmatively chose not to report sexual violence and dating violence to an appropriate administrator outside of athletics." "As a result, some football coaches and staff abdicated responsibilities under Title IX and Clery; to student welfare; to the health and safety of complainants; and to Baylor’s institutional values." The report continues about the failures of their discipline program and many people must be involved in that to know what was going on too.
  8. I can't see the pic, but I hope it's as good as this:
  9. As someone posted earlier, they will keep the rest in place for the season and clean house in the off season. And they will hire a seasoned coach. It will not be a first time HC
  10. They are available on Sling TV for streaming. Which is great for cord cutters using this service.
  11. I heard the guys on The Ticket talking about it this morning. Report is that it should happen by the end of the month.
  12. That was also a long time ago and very early in his tenure. I'm pretty sure that if we had 4 straight bowl appearances, we'd be able to get many more butts in seats than there are currently. At least, I'd like to think so...
  13. Here we have a pic of Rick counting all the fans in the stands. "One, two, three..."
  14. Editor’s Note: I contacted Rick Villarreal minutes after it was announced he and UNT mutually decided to part ways. Here is the transcript of the exclusive interview between myself and Villarreal. From your point of view, what played into the decision to step down? RV: I think a lot of things. The time I’ve been here and the amount of things we’ve done, all those were great. But at the end of the day, you have to do everything, and we struggled in football, we struggled in basketball, and those are the sports we have to win. Somebody’s held accountable for that, and I think that along with the fact I had been contemplating how much longer I was going to do this. With conversations between the president and myself, we came to this decision and felt like it was best. read more: http://ntdaily.com/exclusive-rick-villarreal-discusses-resignation-as-unt-athletic-director/ I like how the interview starts with him saying that people must be held accountable for the losses in football and basketball. And then it switches to "I don't know how much longer I want to do this." And then turns to, "I don't know what I'm going to do next, but I'm not done." ANYONE that has put that much thought into stepping down has put more thought into what's next than RV is letting on. All that being said, I wish him well in his next endeavor. I'm just glad it won't have UNT's name attached to that endeavor anymore.
  15. YES!!! FINALLY!!!
  16. it's about damn time!
  17. That's going to make a lot of bowl games impossible for them to attend. Not to mention any other sports post season plans.
  18. I have used Sling since it was in Beta. It's a great service and has become more and more reliable lately. I like it. Having Sling and my Tablo OTA DVR is an AMAZING combination!
  19. I'd throw in $100 for this...
  20. Since the pic was taken at a football game, I think it's football related. :) I like the new pic though! GMG! And GMG Man!
  21. Around $1,000 including tickets, tailgate equipment (I have to add stuff every year), food and alcohol. Don't tell my fiance...
  22. Well that sucks. I guess I never realized that.
