I'm also a bit underwhelmed with these hires. I guess I was just expecting more. Tulsa and Argyle have been sitting at home doing nothing as long as UNT has. If this is who WB & SL really wanted to hire, this announcement would have been made long before Christmas. That being said, I don't completely dislike the hires. They both seem qualified, although I am a bit hesitant about HS coaches at UNT given our history. Haha Welcome to Denton and Go Mean Green!

It needs to be 4, 8 or 16 teams for a proper bracket. I could also see top 6 with the first 2 getting a bye week. But 12 teams won’t work that well unless the top 4 are getting bye weeks. Personally, I like the 6 team scenario. Each P5 gets a spot with an at large going to another P5, G5 or Notre Dame or other school with no conference affiliation.

I’m wondering if this means we’re close to announcing a hire? Does this mean the new guy wanted to bring in his own staff? I also wonder why we haven’t yet hired someone. We got an early enough start on the hiring process. Jobs are getting filled elsewhere. Are we making a splashy hire with someone who’s waiting to get past a bowl game or two? i sometimes also wonder why the sky is blue...

At our level, most do them in the morning. And at the assembly they sign a copy or fake piece of paper for the cameras.

To be fair, they aren’t mentioning his 11 years at SMU either. Only his 20 years at Iowa.

Since that's sold on Etsy, you could probably contact the person selling them and ask for a different color sweatshirt. If they're running an Etsy store with lots of different products they make, they'll probably have a different color. Many of those things aren't made until you order it.

Skladany's defenses were tough. I miss them. It was solid when we had an offense that could keep them off the field enough to get rest. I will never forget being in Apogee for The Stand.

It's not so much about it being a disaster. It's much more about knowing who to hold accountable for the disaster.

I absolutely LOVED watching Ek on the sidelines. His passion and enthusiasm for the game and his players was nothing short of infectious. HOWEVER, I think there’s a reason he’s coaching Special Teams now instead of defenses and it’s probably not very good. 🤷‍♂️
