No one’s playing anyone this year.

That might be the first FBS conference to cancel, but it’s far from the first domino. D- 2&3 championships have been cancelled. UConn already cancelled their season. And all the P5 conferences going conference only or conference +1 are previous dominoes. The writing has been on the wall for some time, but we just haven’t wanted to read it. We’re all going undefeated in 2020 because unfortunately, there will not be a 2020 season.

It won't be long before all their opponents cancel the CSU game on their schedules.

Will not be surprised one bit to see it pushed back to starting in the spring semester like several other states have done.

If there is no season for Hawaii, and if/when Rico gets drafted, does Roger Goddell now say, "Rico Bussey, WR, Hawaii" or does he say, "North Texas"? Can we break our draftless streak with Rico? 🤔

You better believe this is a coaching statement. Young people (recruits) are watching and taking notice of the events in the world around them right now. At its core, it a message of unity and healing. Not really anything any reasonable person can disagree with in his statement.

Damn. So sorry to read this. When I was a young undergrad in the early 2000’s, I remember Cary being a regular attendee around the SigEp fraternity alumni events. Was always nice to see him at other events and knowing his school spirit and support run deeper than just the fraternity. We lost a good one. And way too damn soon. 😥

That’s how I thought it worked. Sounds like a program could be completely decimated if a group of players decided to band together and leave en mass. I wonder if we’ll see a mutiny like that in college football some day?

It seems to me that he’s a little late to the transfer game. I would think most large programs don’t have scholarships left to offer him. I won’t be surprised to see him back on our sidelines again next year. But this brings up another point. How does having a player transfer out effect our scholarships? Do we just lose a player and scholarship? Can we offer an extra scholarship if he leaves?

Renewal notices are already out. I can’t remember what I paid last year, so I’m not sure if there was an increase or not. If there was an increase, I think it was pretty small.

For a G5 program showing some level of success, it’s totally normal and a good thing.

I think this means that Jason Garrett took notice of Mason Fine while he was here. Say whatever you want to about Jason Garrett (personally, I think he was let go about 6 years too late), but he is a very well respected talent evaluator.

As long as he wasn’t pro in football, I think it’s okay.
