I generally review this forum from the iphone or home TV (hooked up from computer) Until recently everything was fine; viewing from the TV screen. When I open a thread now I get a black screen and am unable to see anything. What should I do to correct this? Thanks!

Tony needs at least 2 more years. The money will be there. No guarantees for 2nd rounders. Odoh should help his development and better outside shooting from Overlander/Pye??? Ok, ok, Overlander has impressed me more of late!

I think he scores about 10-12 ppg next season with better players around; to compliment his game.

Nancy Liberman-Cline's son. Not a bad player. Had a good game against S. Grand Prairie at the AAC on last Saturday. http://rivals.yahoo.com/southcarolina/basketball/recruiting/player-T.J.-Cline-136113;_ylt=AuONxNWCQnYZrYhgyOMLH8TwOrF_

And this is not racist?
Cooley replied to DeepGreen's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
We have never had a president more disrespected than Barack Obama. From day one, many folks have been running scared at the thought that they will lose whatever rights they have enjoyed their whole life. Republican (and Tea Party) candidates use this fear to their advantage by continuing to lie and distort the truth. This guy is not one of us; he's not American, not Christian, hangs around terrorists, he's a socialist etc. I remain shocked that so many continue to embrace this type of bigotry. Despite it all, Mr. Obama remains the consummate professional and adult with these attacks. What has he done? How about keeping this country out of a depression. Saving the US auto industry. Bringing our troops home from a lie, killing the top terrorists, bringing the stock market back, creating jobs month after month, restoring the US imagine around the world Instead of constantly berating the guy and believing all the lies out there because of the color of his skin, we need to thank the guy for bringing us back from the mess of the prior 8 years. Imagine where we would be if the Republicans would try to work with him rather than obstruct everything the man is trying to do; for all of us. Fortunately, the majority of American have not fallen prey to this garbage. Polls have him rising because of the lack of an alternative from the Republican. (or policies) It would be a waste of resources and foolish for Obama to target African American only; when he received 92-95% of their vote. We have never had a president to inherit as many problems upon taking office. Despite the concerted effort of the republican to just sit on the sidelines and hope the economy fails; this president has been the right guy at the right time. Lord knows this may have killed McCain and Sara Palin would have just quit. Keep up the great work Mr. Commander in Chief Sir! Like Tony Mitchell, give us more years. Here's my vote for eliminating forums like this that take away from my day to day escape from the work place and politics. Hell, If I wanted to get pissed off, I can always watch Fox News.- 151 replies

UTA will hurt UNT before TCU. Going dancing in another week, In a better perceived conference (than currently) and plays in the best arena in the Metroplex. Had close to 5k last night against Nichols St (I think). Opened up with about 7. We can continue to dismiss them all we want but they can recruit using their 30 point ass whipping against us while still on the stage. Our success has been on attracting local high major kids back to the area. OSU's Roger Dowell is a recent example of what the new arena will continue to do for them.

A good coach could possibly motivate the guys to perform to their potential. (or at least better) If I were the AD, I'd call Knight in and read to him the shooting stats of the team; then fire his ass. It's too easy to blame others. Not once did he take any blame for the teams poor shooting. Lamar Basketball, under Pat Knight, has now taken the place of the Miami Heat as my favorite team to lose a ball game.

SMU has already raised a good chunk for their major expansion plans. They certainly can't and won't sit steal in the Big East. I don't have a major issue with the Super Pit other than the need for a modern day sound system and jumbotron over center court. In time, we do need another facility for the guys to practice. We also need a better game day experience. (1 person taking tickets; sitting at a table out in the open)

Maybe all the high schools do this now but the Dallas ISD schools recognize their graduating seniors during the last or next to last games. They introduce the kids along their parents and disclose their college selections. I remember about 2 years ago, Pinkston recognized Tony Mitchell along with his mother Angie. Though they stated that Tony would be attending Missouri, Angie came on the court in her green UNT attire. Last week 2 SOC players announced that they will be attending UNT in the fall. Xavier Seaton & Dennis Jones. I can see Seaton helping as a walk on. Jones is a very good outside shooter but does not have the height at the college level. SOC finished the regular season as the 6th ranked 4A squad. Speaking of outside shooting, Clarke Overlander had a pretty good game yesterday in a warmup game against Woodrow Wilson. He strained his back late in the 3rd couldn't come out for the 4th quarter but did manage about 14 points. Argyle is so small that they actually play Overlander down low. He was able to pop out and hit about 3 threes. He can be very valuable in that role.

2013 HS - Keith Frazier - 6'5" SG
Cooley replied to TheTastyGreek's topic in UNT Basketball Recruiting
Frazier continues to impress this poster with about 7 NBA bombs last night against SOC. Kimball was not as balanced as SOC this year and fell for the 2nd time to the Golden Bears; in a battle for the district championship. The Dallas ISD was down this year, but Frazier should be the favorite to win the POY honor in Dallas. -
Don't think North Texas has ever graced the cover of any publication. Certainly a keepsake!

Keith Frazier is a better pro prospect than Tony Mitchell right now. Will not be the better college player but his game is better suited for the NBA. At 6-5, he can shoot with the best of them but does not have Mitchell’s versatility or athleticism. Ridicules NBA range beyond 3 pt range. -
UNT lands Houston area DB Jamal Marshall
Cooley replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
I love the height but 23.7 & 23.1 20 time is extremely slow. You want you receivers to be the fastest guys on the field. I hope this kid does not pick up the nickname of toast Marshall! Go Mean Green! -
Was not aware Rod Jones is Ridge's dad. Man I'm getting old. Seems like Rod was playing football and running track for SOC just a few years ago. Well, here's hoping NM will teach Ridge how to catch the ball.

2013 HS - Kendal Harris - 6'3" PG
Cooley replied to TheTastyGreek's topic in UNT Basketball Recruiting
Seems like Harris has been at Berkner forever! Starter with Jordan Mickey as freshman. Equal to Chris Jones as players. Coach was fired earlier because of some concerns by the UIL. Mickey, currently at Arlington Grace Prep, has Tony Mitchell ability. I thought he was going to fly under the radar but he's being exposed. Anyway, Harris makes sense here as I don't think he is a national recruit but a very good Texas guard. Harris and Mickey would rival this years newcomers. -
Big Tony Mitchell fan! Don't care, however, how many POW honors he achieves. He is not NBA ready and would be a HUGE mistake.
