This kid has been slept on for the past 2 years. We really need to flip him from Sam Houston St. Another Mason Fine prospect playing for arguable the best high school team in Texas history; against the best competition. If he isn't a G5 starter he is a legit backup. His height is the only reason he is not P5. https://www.hudl.com/profile/13645564/Darius-Bailey https://www.hudl.com/video/3/13645564/63a2a704bee085142870c53c

He had a bad year culminated with a bad championship game. Sometimes we offer kids too early. Carry on -

Breaking: North Texas lands Commitment from Cedar Hill DE
Cooley replied to TheReal_jayD's topic in Mean Green Football
UNT is a good fit for him in my opinion. Could have over-signed like most kids do. Portal wish list: Steven Parker - Edge at UIW - Committed to TX Tech but followed for HS coach (Emmett Jones) to Kansas. Jones is now at OU and he may follow. FCS Defensive player of the year. 3-4 star at South Oak Cliff a few years ago. Grad transfer. Jordan Crook - LB at Arkansas & Duncanville HS. -
Whatever happened to Keith Smith?

St. Johns (11/16/23) - Charleston Classic
Cooley replied to greenminer's topic in Mean Green Basketball
There were so many poor decisions/mistakes during those last few seconds. Obviously, by Ruben & Buggs. Down by 1, why would Scott pull up, with about 7 seconds remaining, for a contested shot from the top of the key? (he was fouled though) If he'd continued to the bucket there would have been a better chance of being fouled that the refs had to call. Continuing to the bucket would have also pulled Buggs' man away for a kick out open shot from the corner. Oh well, St Johns' decisions were just as bad. Liked the effort but unfortunately, we don't have a go to guy in the clutch. -
Hope we can hang on to 6-5 WR commit Baron Tipton of Coppell. Kid is having a monster year and surely attracting major interest from others. I think he helps this team from day 1.

Plays for Dallas Kimball. Extremely articulate kid with a near perfect GPA. Size maybe an issue but has a great motor.

Breaking: SOC DB Kerry Williams commits to North Texas
Cooley replied to TheReal_jayD's topic in Mean Green Football
Last 2 games against inferior schools (Dallas Adamson & Dallas Spruce), Kerry had a 75 yard pick 6 (Adamson) and a 77 yard pick 6 against Spruce. Their overall secondary got off to a shaky start of the season but is improving.- 12 replies

What’s crazy to me is that Prosper ain’t winning anything anytime soon. The best football is in SW Dallas County. Duncanville, DeSoto and SOC, with declining enrollments, all won state titles last year. (SOC was a repeat) There’s a good chance that Duncanville and possibly DeSoto repeat this year. I can understand if Aledo put a $90mm vote in front of its citizens with 11 State Championships; and counting. I don’t live in Prosper but you’d have to show me more than projected growth; to justify a stadium of this amount.
