  1. He's a good HS QB but his teammates (RB's & WR's) make that team special. Speed, speed and more speed. Too many options to stop that North Crowley offense.
  2. Yes
  3. I understand for some the financial benefit to transfer. Others, an opportunity to play or play more. Many others, however, didn't have to leave. Part of being a successful program today is in the retention of your players. How hard did we try? We can't afford to bring in 77 new faces each year with any semblance of success. The blow out today was a result of not limiting player turnover, albeit not your players.
  4. Hopefully he may contribute 16-20 minutes per game by year 3. His physique passes the eye test but he is not the big time recruit to get excited about. He played AAU ball with DJ Hall (Southern Assault) of undefeated/state champion Plano East Panthers. They appear to be good friends as well. Hall is a 6-6 beast around the basket and more impressive(though his recruiting list is not much better). I think we will have 8 positions to fill in the 2025 class so I'm ok with his potential.

  6. He could but I won’t say a major upgrade after 1 game. If Rogers would have returned and had another year like his only year he would have been UNT quality Hall of Fall worthy. Rogers was tough, gritty, accurate and a greater running threat. I wish him success with Cal and hope to see Morris continue to shine as a Drew Brees clone.
  7. I liked what I saw from Morris but why would anyone say he is an upgrade? What was there not to like about Rogers last year and his magical season?
  8. Imagine what it would have been without him
  9. If a team has a very good quarterback, more people come to the games.
  10. Looks like Allison Rickman of Canton, Tx instead https://x.com/AllisonRickman8/status/1828964748651565158/photo/1
  11. Cherie Spencer made an official visit yesterday. She appears to be one of the top players in Louisiana (2025). Coach Burton announced on twitter (X) that he just received a commitment today; on his birthday. Was it from Cherie? If so, she is impressive. https://x.com/CoachJBurton/status/1828817976067498209 https://x.com/cspncr15_/status/1828052291343020039
  12. Going 6-6 is like kissing your sister

  14. *Brison Brooks is listed twice. Emeka Ugorji is the kid committed to Stanford. https://247sports.com/recruitment/emeka-ugorji-170057/recruitinterests/ Levon Morton is at SOC and not Mesquite Horn https://247sports.com/Player/levon-morton-46137822/ 7 other Golden Bears have FCS offers only at this time (underclassmen)

  16. Sounds like most posters never got to see Walter Chapman in the mid 70's? I'm taking Chapman over Booger Kennedy. A year or so before my time, Steve Ramsey was the legend at QB. Fine certainly over achieved but wasn't in the category of Ramsey, Ken Washington, Mitch Maher, Jordan Case, or Scott Davis. Unanimous choices would include Mean Joe, Abner Haynes, Cedric Hardman, Ray Renfro, Spider Lockhart, Ron Shanklin, Leonard Dunlap, Hayden Fry and a few others during the 60's. I'm sure I missing others. Let's be brutally honest. North Texas won't go down as one of the top programs in college football history; with a plethora of All Americans and/or high NFL draft picks. The last decade or two of entries into the school's Hall of Fame has been significantly watered down, embarrassing and disrespectful to those that were rightfully honored and deserving.

  18. Certainly can't disagree with Tony Mitchell. However, he was 6-8 with very large hands. I had the pleasure of watching Charles McMillan and Wayman Lister throughout their HS (SOC), Juco (McMillian) and NTSU careers. At only 6-3/6-4, they were dunking legends in Dallas area HS history. Unfortunately, NT fans didn't see much back in the mid 70's because they were reserves on the most talented rosters (top to bottom) ever. Lister was Player of the Year in Texas and McMillian was 1st Team All State and a Juco All-American. I see that this question has been posed previously:
  19. Unfortunately, his best role should be as an athlete as I do not see him being a great college QB. He backed out of his commitment to TCU because of his desire to play QB. I had a chance to see his North Crowley team play Duncanville in their regional final game last year (In Mesquite). Like all others, not named DeSoto, Duncanville destroyed them and held Jemison in check. N Crowley was undefeated going into the game and was a top 5 6A team statewide. I expect similar impressive numbers from him in the fall and another great NC run. They will again be a top 5 (6A) contender but have difficulties getting past the district of doom's representative (Duncanville, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Waxahachie, Lancaster, and an improved Skyline). The great thing for UNT is in picking up a 2nd tier recruit/athlete that we should always sign each year. He is a good HS dual threat guy which is needed to compensate for his lack of size. A little more explosive than Chandler Rogers out of the pocket but not the track speed of a Jason Bean. North Crowley is as talented as any other program in the state, and it always helps to build on that pipeline.
  20. Folks on the hilltop would never agree to this. The top G5 would be top 5 because of their G5 schedule and bottom P4 due to their P4 schedule. Many G5s already play in these bowl games; if I understand your proposal.
  21. 7-5 (4-4) Wins Losses @ S. Alabama @ Texas Tech SFA @ FAU Wyoming @ Memphis Tulsa Tulane Army @ UTSA E. Carolina @ Temple
  22. Yep, officially football season.
  23. Will they have rosters at this tournament?
  24. I guess we would all be fine if he had signed with Duke. It's this man's life and I wish him well.
