  3. Hell no
  4. They are a Charter school. Like a few others, they are allowed students from all over. What’s hard for the UIL is to determine if they are actively recruiting kids. In today’s times, parents desire to place their kids at schools that give Jimmy the best place to succeed. This is a slippery slope because suburban schools get more kids than anyone; facilities, exposure, academics etc. The HS coach generally is the person that checks a box that a kid is transferring for athletic reasons. If so, the district committee has to approve it. When a program wins, scrutiny follows. When they dont win, no one gives a damn. Southlake Carroll had 4 starting girls to transfer. Their coach believe they were recruited. DeSoto lost all their top prospects to Faith Family. A new Charter school in Ft Worth has assembled an all star lineup. At the least, Charters should be ineligible for UIL titles and/or play at the highest level.
  5. No need for anyone to get bent out of shape on this one. Spruiells was always going to be a 3rd or 4th team DB option. Whatever happened didn't help. Makes sense for him to return back to FCS. Northern Arizona was his best offer of only a few coming out of HS. (Can't be more than 5-6, 160)
  6. Was not aware of his transfer as well. Kid changes schools every year. (Greenhill, Plano Prestonwood, Oak Hill Academy and now Argyle). If true, he would team well with 6-9 Kash Polk to form a nice front line. The UIL is scheduled to discuss Oak Cliff Faith Family this Friday. More than likely, they will force them to move up to 6A (from 5A)or not play other UIL schools. If eligible, they should be the favorites in 5A for the state championship.
  7. Yeah, but the star system wasn’t always around. Additionally, an era of passing the ball around vs the running game. Can’t compare QB’s equally. Top ranked Riley Dodge Spencer Stack Ken Washington Jr. What does underdog story mean? Ambassador/Leadership? How about Ken Washington Jr. as the #1 QB in Texas. At only 5-10 being told we don’t won’t a black quarterback by every SW Conference school and that you are too short. Riley Dodge was also told that he was too small. I liked Fine. Great passer but wasn’t good under pressure and couldn’t run to extend possessions.
  8. Way to early for him to give up on OU and other P4 opportunities ($$$). I would love him here but I would be shocked if a long line of suitors aren't monitoring his situation.
  9. What ever happened to Keith Smith?
  10. Too bad the 75-76 squad was independent with no real opportunity to advance to the tournament. They would have knocked off at least two higher seeds. The 88 team was just happy to be there.
  11. North Crowley vs Rockwall tonight on KDAF (CW - Ch 33 @ 7:00 PM)
  12. Talent fee? This will increase every year without a hard team salary cap. Will UNT provide rebates as we enter the turnstiles?

  14. We can head on over to the Pit and wait
  15. He's a good HS QB but his teammates (RB's & WR's) make that team special. Speed, speed and more speed. Too many options to stop that North Crowley offense.
  16. Yes
  17. I understand for some the financial benefit to transfer. Others, an opportunity to play or play more. Many others, however, didn't have to leave. Part of being a successful program today is in the retention of your players. How hard did we try? We can't afford to bring in 77 new faces each year with any semblance of success. The blow out today was a result of not limiting player turnover, albeit not your players.
  18. Hopefully he may contribute 16-20 minutes per game by year 3. His physique passes the eye test but he is not the big time recruit to get excited about. He played AAU ball with DJ Hall (Southern Assault) of undefeated/state champion Plano East Panthers. They appear to be good friends as well. Hall is a 6-6 beast around the basket and more impressive(though his recruiting list is not much better). I think we will have 8 positions to fill in the 2025 class so I'm ok with his potential.

  20. He could but I won’t say a major upgrade after 1 game. If Rogers would have returned and had another year like his only year he would have been UNT quality Hall of Fall worthy. Rogers was tough, gritty, accurate and a greater running threat. I wish him success with Cal and hope to see Morris continue to shine as a Drew Brees clone.
  21. I liked what I saw from Morris but why would anyone say he is an upgrade? What was there not to like about Rogers last year and his magical season?
  22. Imagine what it would have been without him
  23. If a team has a very good quarterback, more people come to the games.
  24. Looks like Allison Rickman of Canton, Tx instead https://x.com/AllisonRickman8/status/1828964748651565158/photo/1
