I like the idea, but if we were going to pimp out our geographic location, lets aim a little higher and get some quality national exposure. The Pac 12 really wanted Texas and OU. High profile Pac teams might be willing to play us in 1 and 1 series. USC or UCLA would bring great national exposure to Apogee. UCLA has already played Houston in a series, and Houston plays in Robertson. Washington State would be a great series. They are terrible right now, but Leach will turn them around, and I'm sure he would love to play in DFW for recruiting. An annual home and home series with WSU could become a great rivalry in the future. A rivalry that could help grow both university's programs.

Yes, Tulsa can get Oklahoma State into their stadium. When Texas or Texas A&M is ready to play at Apogee, I'd be glad to make one of those a regular meeting. I am glad C-USA is not expanding right now. Lets see how things work out, and then look at where teams are.

The kid will be playing at Navaro JC this season. Because of his grades, he didn't get as many offers considering his talent. After a season at a JC, he may get about the same interst from some of the top programs in Texas. I think he would be a good fit if he makes the grades. I don't know how many other programs will be after him, but I think coach Mac can sell him on UNT.

LOL... I was more excited about the possibility of UNT getting a similar number of games on T.V. once we move to C-USA, but You are right they don't get much fan support. That 417 might include the fans at their games too.

I have Directv, and get the Comcast games, they are like Fox Sports, and air them on several channels at the same time.

Of course we still root for the Sun Belt. This season, we just root a little harder for FIU.

Between Fox Sports Net airing 5 games, Time-Warner Texas Regional airing 3 games, Comcast Sports airing 2 games, and CBS Sports airing a game; SMU will have 11 games on T.V. next season. Right now, only their game with Baylor is not listed for T.V. I hope this is the kind of T.V. coverage we will get when we move to C-USA.

Our traditional liberal arts school just doesn't graduate many people that go on to be wealthy. To generate the type of funds we need, our focus must be on improving our Business and Science programs, and I think letting the School of Law go to UNT-Dallas was a big mistake.

I hate El Paso. The place is a dump. UTEP is going to be a great rival for us in C-USA, but I just don't like their city. I would like New Orleans much better. It sits right on the Mississippi, and divides the East and West.

This is my concern, I'm gald to be getting McDorman, but I'm concerned about which player didn't make it to Denton. Was it a spot they were holding for a QB?

I was of the understanding the athletic department could raise the fee by 10% each year, until it was maxed out.

Maybe the university didn't want the athletic department to raise it in the same year they are raising tuition. I'd be shocked if it didn't increase next year with the move to C-USA, and the athletic department tie the increase to the additions of baseball and another women's sport.
