Very good point. How strong was the schedule back in 1974? How does it compare to our 2012 schedule, as far as stregth of schedule? I'd think it would be hard to compare.

I can't imagine Mac plans on adding too many more O linemen in this class. I wonder if all of these guys are for the offense, or if they are planning on moving any to defensive line?

The Big 12 is worse off for having lost A&M to the SEC. I don't think the SEC or A&M will be content for long, with having only one Texas program. I believe UT will see a negative affect in recruiting in the years to come. The top recruits in the nation want to play the best competition in the nation, and that is currently in the SEC. The top players in Texas may choose A&M. that would allow them to play in the strongest conference and play in front of their families. We will see.

I'm not going to pretend to know how any of this will play out, but I will say, when the big boys shake things up, it's always to make things more lucrative for themselves. Our job is to create a situation where including us is financially benificial to them. That's really the only way to break into their club.

I've been meaning to post this for a while now. I had never watched softball until the National Title series between Oklahoma and Alabama. My in-laws who are big Oklahoma fans were in town, and wanted to watch the game (game 1). I didn't think I was going to enjoy it, but I did. They left the next day, and I ended up watching the other two games in the series. I think girls play softball completly different from they way guys play baseball, and I thought it was really fun to watch. Next season, I plan to attend some UNT softball games, and support our softball team more. I'd love to see our girls play for a National Title some day, and I think with enough support they can.

It's nice to see a recruit that is respectful. Boone seems to be a high character guy, and we all know he has the talent. I think he will be a great Eagle, not only on the field, but in the classroom.

I agree. Wichita Falls produces some great talent every year. I'm glad coach Mac is finding guys like this up there.

Rivals still doesn't list Dajon Williams as a North Texas recruit. Does anyone know why? Is there a problem?

I think this is a great get. I'm sure we will have to fight off other programs to keep him. In the end, I think coach Mac and the staff can do that.

I think C-USA increased their exit fee after the last round of realignment. It might be enough to deture current programs from leaving.

Idaho and NMSU might be willing to take that offer right now. Though both might be FCS before too long.
