  1. I would have liked to see the scrimmage, but it isn't a big deal. Whatever coach Mac thinks is best, and will lead to more wins, is just fine with me.
  2. I'm happy for Olawale. Tanner is hurt too, so I hope Dunbar can get back on the field and help his chances.
  3. Thanks. I knew the practices were closed, but I didn't know the scrimmages were too. I wonder if they will be running a live blog?
  4. Is the Scrimmage open to the public? I haven't seen anything posted about it.
  5. Jamize Olawale doing all he can OXNARD, Calif. -- Jamize Olawale might turn into one of the Cowboys' better additions, considering he joined the team through a tryout at the club’s rookie minicamp after the draft. http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys
  6. I'll be there. I'm taking my dad to his first North Texas game.
  7. Dunbar didn't play. Here is a picture of him on the sidelines.
  8. Lance is in shorts standing behind the offense, but not on crutches or anything. Haven't seen Jamize Olawale yet. http://prod.www.cowb...b7-d79ed246198c
  9. They are still working on the bridge, but it hasn't been disrupting trafic.
  10. I never want players hurt, but I am glad Dunbar is getting more touches, and making the most of them.
  11. Scout's Notebook: RBs Picking Up the Blitz Seems Dunbar is blockng well. http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/article-BryanBroaddusBlog/Scout’s-Notebook-RBs-Picking-Up-Blitz-Vet-OT-Standing-Out/f72a5603-6b22-45af-a78c-cec917991220
  12. I hope he gets a nice education and has a good life, but starting in 2014 I really hope we can make him regret picking SMU.
  13. I'd rather you get in their heads, when they are in the red zone, force false starts & time outs, and help keep them out of the endzone. I'd hope we would get more crazy students then the section could hold and their would be plenty behind the visitors bench too.
  14. I think giving away large amounts of tickets decreases the value of the product on the field. Whatever the athletic department does should center around adding value to the program. Our attendance will naturally increase once we move to C-USA. Our fans want to see us play Tulsa, Rice, and UTEP, and I think their fans will show up better then the Sun Belt teams did. I'm not saying we should set back and do nothing. I just don't believe giving away large amounts of tickets is the best strategy. I think getting more posters up around town helps add value to our program and will help to get more people to the games. Personally, I think the lower half of the Wingzone should be sectioned off for crazy, loud students. I'd like to see it filled with students that will paint their faces, or wear a green cape, or a green Darth Vader helmet, and yell as loud as they can every time the oponent gets into the red zone on that side of the field. When games are on T.V. that section will get on T.V. more than others, and be fun to watch while we are winning.
  15. Sampson at 6'5" could be a real weapon. I sure hope he can catch under presure, and give us another option in goal line situations.
  16. In my opinion, your graphic insults the contributions of Christians. It seems to imply that they are not charitable and don't matter. That's unfair. In any group there will be people that will or won't help their community. That's just my opinion.
  17. I don't need an apology, and wouldn't want to see him suspended. He didn't intend to call out my uncle, and the man has a right to his opinion on this issue. I'll chalk it up as a bad joke.
  18. Wow... I guess you think my late uncle, who was a preacher, and built schools and water wells in Guatemala died for nothing?
  19. You are right. he is not a good conservative. I don't really care for him as a candidate, but he will be on the ticket. Most important to me is the fact that he is not as liberal as Obama.
  20. Almost everyone in Texas was a democrat 40 years ago. The party changed.
  21. No Sun belt or C-USA teams in the top 25, but a few got votes. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/usatpoll.htm
  22. I'm all for bringing back a live mascot. If we can't get an eagle, my tea cup Australian shepard hikes a small stuffed football all around my living room. I could put one of those baby UNT jerseys on him and send him out on the field.
  23. I'll be there. Last year was fun. I like it much better under the west side of the stadium. The cookouts by the practice fields were very hot. I hope they have another garage sale, like they did for the Spring Game. I can use a few more jerseys.
  24. Basketball keeps looking like a real bright spot for us as we get ready to move to C-USA. It would be great to join in 2013 as the defending Sun Belt Champ and a nice run in the NCAA Tourny. It is just a dream, but additions like this make it more of a possibility. Great job Benford and staff. All the more reason we should hang signs for the basketball season too.
  25. I was glad to waste my time out there with the other guys. It was fun.
