  1. I think Jimmerson was on a short leash too. But, I think he was the best of the RBs. He and Byrd run with some power, but Jimmerson seems to have more of a burst. Mac was really hacked off at Brown when he fumbled the ball. I don't think he had the better game.
  2. This has been talked about before, but Coach Mac says no more 5 game home schedules. in 2013 we have: 09/21 - at Georgia TBA - Ball State TBA - at Ohio What team would you like to bring to Apogee for the final OOC game? I'd kind of like Washington State. I'm sure Leach would love to play in DFW for recruiting, and I think it would generate fan and media interst. Plus, after watching the lose to BYU, I think we have a good chance of winning. Maybe we could shcedule them for Sept. 7th . I think that would be opening weekend.
  3. I didn't post about Obi on the Adopt a Player Thread until last night. Obi had 6 tackles. He tackled Blue for a loss of a yard. OBI had a decent game.
  4. Obi had a decent game. 6 tackles. One was for a loss of a yard.
  5. Had not seen this posted yet. Craig Robertson made the cut. “We liked them, obviously, but they’ve done a good job,” Heckert said. “Craig, we watched him in college and had him for two weeks last year and we knew he was a good athlete, but we never saw him hit anybody. He’s been a really nice surprise and he’s going to play a lot for us, probably in our nickel stuff. http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/article-1/Heckert-likes-enthusiasm-from-youth/8a61a8be-1025-4e6d-91c4-3e140af0eec5
  6. That's just sad. We gave him a platform to continue his love of playing basketball and a fine education and he is loyal to a school that wanted nothing to do with him. I've lost some respect for him.
  7. I agree. For a good part of the night we looked like we belonged out there. The Mean Green reminded me of the 300. I think I'll watch that movie tomorrow.
  8. Most of the other Belt teams looked really bad this weekend. We may have lost the game, but we showed we can probably compete for a title this season. We have not had a reason to feel that way in a long time. That is what we are happy about.
  9. At times our O line also looked good against one of the best front 7s in the country. I don't think they gave up a sack tonight, and they were able to open some lanes for the RBs.
  10. I saw some good things tonight. We were able to get to the LSU QB and hit him hard. If we can get to the LSU QBs we can get to the Sun Belt QBs. Our young secondary did a fair job for being completly new. Chancellor had a great game against a talented secondary. The young RBs did a good job. Jimmerson looks like he could be a beast in the Sun Belt. I love that LSU was still playing their starters at the end of the game. I think we have a team that can compete at the top level of the Sun Belt.
  11. Does anyone know when the Mean Green Insider will start airing this season?
  12. They seem to think the Cowboys will carry six RBs into the season. RB (6) DeMarco Murray Felix Jones Lawrence Vickers (FB) Phillip Tanner Jamaize Olawale Lance Dunbar Analysis: This is certainty a position of length right now and might not stay this way. But the Cowboys obviously like these two North Texas rookies in Dunbar and Olawale. Tanner has been pretty good as well and with Felix Jones entering the last year of his contract, it makes sense to hold onto some of these young backs. Next year, they’ll still be young but with more experience. http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/article-1/DCcom-Writers-Take-Stab-At-Predicting-Final-53-Man-Roster/476dac49-c3ee-4f87-81d8-81b8d1622750
  13. I believe our future conference mate Rice plays UCLA at 6:30 on CBS Sports. Not to stir the pot, but I think the game is in Houston.
  14. LOL! They came in the mail today. I guess you're going to have to put up with me for another season.
  15. Still waiting on mine too.
  16. From the Fort Worth Star Telegram Olawale shines again: Jamize Olawale, an undrafted free agent from North Texas, made his presence felt as a rusher and receiver for a second consecutive game. Olawale scored a second-quarter touchdown, the Cowboys’ first of the pre-season, on a 2-yard blast. He also grabbed four passes and turned up some heat on Phillip Tanner, who is out with a broken hand, in the battle to be the team’s third running back. Olawale (10 carries, 30 yards) led the team in rushing for a second consecutive game in the pre-season. "He really has shown that throughout training camp," said coach Jason Garrett. "He came in more as a fullback candidate. But he has also shown he can be a big back. He's played a lot as a halfback, he's played in third-down situations. He's really done some positive things running the football for us." http://sportsblogs.star-telegram.com/cowboys/2012/08/tonights-collection-of-cowboys-notes-starting-with-better-offense.html If this guy is right and Olawale is fighting Tanner for the 3rd RB spot, what does that mean for Dunbar? He must still be in the talk. I really hope both Olawale and Dunbar can make the team.
  17. Craig had a good game. He had a few tackles and an INT that was overturned on a penalty.
  18. I can't see any conference being interested in Idaho as long as they are playing in the Kibbie Dome. That place is as toxic as Fouts was for us. If they are seroius about being FBS and joining a new conference then they need to show the college football world that they are ready to put some money into their athletics, and I think that should start with a new stadium.
  19. FAU's schedule is now showing the kickoff at 5p.m. eastern time. The game will be on ESPN3. I believe it was the only televized (if you consider ESPN3 a station) start time that had not been determined.

  20. I'd like to see more of this, and Dunbar too.
  21. LOL!!! Not even close. I don't mind spending good money on a nice T.V. I figure I'll have it for a long time.
  22. I think plasmas have good pictures, and the best refresh rate (600mhz), but they have glass screens and can have problems with glare. LCD screens put off lots of heat, especially with bigger screens. DLP's have issues if you are not looking stright at them, and you have to keep the room dark. I like the LEDs.
  23. I just got a 70", 240 mhz, 3D, Sharp for the upcoming season. I'm ready for the the LSU game. Did anyone else get a new T.V.? If so, what did you get?
