  1. Thank you for the update. I'll be on the lookout for them.
  2. North Dallas Forty is still my favorite.
  3. I must have one of those helmets for my collection.
  4. Congratulations Brandin Byrd. He's graduating today!
  5. VIDEO: First Scimmage In The Books For North Texas Defense Makes Big Plays, Byrd Shines Aug. 10, 2013 The North Texas football team held its first scrimmage of the fall camp on Saturday morning at the Athletic Center practice fields. Both sides had big plays as the Mean Green defense was able to force turnovers throughout the day but the offense had their way during red-zone drills. http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/081013aaa.html
  6. What time will the podcast start?
  7. Sadly, I won't be able to hand out posters on the 17th. I'd be glad to take some and hand them out on another day.
  8. Will the Idaho, Georgia, or the MTSU game get picked up for broadcast? Will our throwback's be worn at other home games? And, when do we get to see them?
  9. Moore decided to retire. Cowboys are now looking at Brian Waters again. http://www.foxsportssouthwest.com/nfl/dallas-cowboys/story/Moore-retires-so-Cowboys-pursue-OL-Water?blockID=927255&feedID=4519
  10. Our recent history would indicate that you might be right, but we bring back several players with tons of experience on both sides of the ball. I believe the team is hungry and ready to make a statement. This should be our easiest game of the season. If we can't run it up on this Vandal team, then we probably won't run it up on anyone. I think we jump on Idaho early, step on their throats, and never let up.
  11. They may believe those are the only two games that weekend, but on Monday, North Texas will be the only DFW team to post a win. LSU will destroy TCU, and Tech is going stomp SMU. I see the Idaho game as an opportunity to start the season in the right direction. By the 8th week of the season, it just looks like the first "W" on our record.
  12. I'll be there. Thanks for organizing the event. I went and got my inspection sticker on my car yesterday and had an extra football poster in my back seat. After talking to the inspection guy. I gave it to him and he put it up in their window. The North Texas Sticker Station is always very supportive of UNT.
  13. This game is huge for North Texas. We have to win. We can't lose a body bag game we paid for. Plus, the loser will start the season on ESPN's Bottom Ten. An impressive win against Idaho could send a message and help generate some media interest in our road game with a good Ohio program.
  14. They could both go over 1,000 yards.
  15. I'll take #3 Brelan Chancellor! I think he's hungry for an All-Conference season. http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/brelan_chancellor_847236.html
  16. Attendance is always hard to predict. With all three of the other C-USA Texas programs coming to Denton, we have a great opportunity to post record setting attendance this season. But, success will always be factor. We can't afford a 4-8 or 5-7 campaign.
  17. Glad to have him. I hope we start seeing some more returns from the FNL.
  18. I voted for Rice. We have basically a 100 year head start on UTSA. We need to beat the snot out of them for at least the first few years in C-USA. Rice is a former SWC member and is located in Houston. The teams from DWF and Houston should always be the top Texas rivalry in C-USA. Rice has some momentum after winning their bowl last season. We need to step up and compete. I'll take this a step further and rank the rivalries: 1. Rice 2. LA Tech 3. UTEP 4. UTSA 5. S. Miss 6. MTSU
  19. Yeah, I was quite surprised by that too. Ramsey was a great QB. I had to remind myself that we throw the ball much more back then.
  20. Thompson is not in the top 5 for interceptions. The top 5 are: 1. Steve Ramsey (1967-69) 67 INTS 2. Mitch Maher (1991-94) 50 INTS 3. Vidal Carlin (1965-66) 47 INTS 4. Jason Mills (1995-97) 37 INTS 5. Giovanni Vizza (2007-08) 36 INTS Thompson (2010- current) 21 INTS I'm sure there are QBs between him and the top five.
  21. I agree, and I think there is still room for this event to grow. I'd love to see channel 21 send "the Fan Sports Show" up and host the show live from next years "Friday Night Lights" event. I think that would be a real win, win situation.
  22. Thank you Harry! I'll be checking here for updates.
  23. I was told those were intermural fields, but I agree that would be a good place. Also the field between the practice fields and the blue lot parking has plenty of space for a IPF.
