UNLV is not the caliber of program this bowl was tied to. We could schedule them as an OOC. If UNLV is the opponent, then I won't be happy either. I'll buy my tickets, and I'll be cheer loud at the game, but I'll still be mad as hell, and wonder how it got so screwed up.

Great to finally get our invitation to the Heart of Dallas Bowl , but I will be completely disappointed if TD is right and we have to play UNLV. They are a fine university, but not of the same caliber of a BIG 10 or even AAC team. We will not get the same kind of media coverage or interest we would if we played a team from one of the other two conferences.

$75 is not a problem. UNLV might be a problem if that is who we end up with.

Title- Auburn vs. Florida St. Sugar- Alabama vs. Oklahoma Fiesta- Baylor vs. Oregon Rose- Michigan State vs. Stanford Orange- UCF vs. Clemson This is what I'm hoping for.

Announcers on T. V. are saying Ohio State will likely go to the Orange Bowl, while Michigan State plays in the Rose Bowl. I hope those guys are wrong. Oklahoma would be a better choice for the Orange Bowl.

From what I understand, an Ohio State win would have given the Big 10 2 BCS team. Ohio State in the title game and Michigan State in the Rose Bowl. Am I wrong? This is the way I think the BCS picture looks now. PAC 12- Stanford BIG10- Michigan State BIG12- Baylor Title Game- Florida State Title Game- Auburn SEC- Alabama AAC- UCF At Large- Ohio State, Oregon, Clemson, or Oklahoma I sure that At Large spot is going to be a hot topic. I can't see Ohio State stumbling into it by finishing the season with a loss. We will see

I agree. the HOD knows exactly who they are getting depending on how these games play out. Great win for Michigan State, and hopefully a great assist for North Texas.

Michigan State is going to win!!! I hope this puts Michigan in the HOD with North Texas. We will see. I don't see the BIG 10 getting 2 teams into the BCS.

The Armed Forces Bowl is a good bowl. I wish C-USA could have added it to our lineup. I like Navy too, but we can get them in Denton in our OOC schedule. I want Michigan State to beat Ohio State. I want to watch North Texas play Michigan or Nebraska on New Years Day at the Cotton Bowl. I want North Texas in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

Like most game, I think the team that plays better defense and doesn't turn the ball over, will win the game.

The weather will certainly take its toll on the attendance, but I have it on good authority that Rice is selling an acceptable number of tickets. They have a very small but wealthy alumni base. Although actual attendance might end up around 17K, I expect rice to sell between 25K or 30K for the title game. Lets all hope Rice wins. I really want to go watch UNT play on New Years Day.

The HOD won't get a BIG10 team if Ohio State plays for the National Title. If the BIG10 send 2 teams to the BCS, the HOD will need a team from another conference. We need Auburn to jump Ohio State, or Michigan State to upset Ohio State in the BIG10 title game. The HOD is tied to the number 7 BIG10 team this season. That would be Michigan. What a matchup... North Texas vs. Michigan on New Year's Day.

Already in Oklahoma. Lets finish this season the right way, and send Tulsa to the AAC with a 3-9 record. Go Mean Green! I'm ready to get my tickets to the HOD Bowl.

There is no silver lining in this loss. It is the worst lose I've ever witnessed.

Here are the game attendance figures for this season: Idaho 21,975 Ball St. 14,747 MT 21,171 Rice 22,835 UTEP 26,119 Right now North Texas is averaging 21,369 a game. 13,500 for the UTSA game will insure us a season average of over 20,000, and will set an all time record. I know the weather is rough, but I expect to see a crowd well over 13,500.

I saw where section 205 is sold out. That's great! I hope those seats will be full with Mean Green fans ready to make lots of noise.

Tulane got UNT and ECU at home. I want to see if they can win on the road. Rice and UTSA could give them trouble.

HOD would be a great bowl, but as long as we still have a shot at the conference title, I got to go with the Liberty Bowl.

With races this weekend at Texas Motor, I didn't want to risk being late for the game. I took tomorrow off. Can't wait for tomorrow night. Go Mean Green!!!
