  1. This is worse. It is on national TV. And, Ap State is score on one play 70 yard drives. This never even occurred on Techmo Bowl. I'm done with this mess. Littrell needs to go. It is time to start rebuilding under new leadership. We have some good young talent. We just need the right coach to turn them into a real program. WREN, DO YOUR JOB!!!
  2. Called it. Can we start firing now?
  3. We have given up like 4 straight explosive plays of 60 yards or more, three for TD's. Now one of our players bailed us out by getting blocked all the way off the field. Wow! FIRE EVERYONE! This is a total embarrassment, and it is occurring on national TV. We still have an entire quarter left in this beat down.
  4. Because we will lose in the trenches, we will lose on the scoreboard. Hate to say it, but it is the truth. We still lack elite G5 line talent on both sides of the ball.
  5. Darden is an all time great for North Texas. Fast track him into the HOF. I would not be surprised if he torches the lean UTEP secondary for big numbers and enough TD's to seriously impact his standing in the final vote count for the Biletnikoff. However that plays out, my money is on Darden to break our draft drought this year.
  6. UTEP now has all 4 of their starting DB's out and in the transfer portal. Plus, UTEP will not finish this season with a winning record, so that also works in our favor. Not saying we will blow them out, but we should be able to pull out a win at Apogee on Friday.
  7. We are among the worst teams in the worst conference in all of college football. At this point I'd even give this guy a shot...
  8. LA Tech is in the middle of a rebuild too: Star players RB Henderson, WR Hardy, and LSU transfer Campbell all opted out of the season to focus on the NFL draft. In fact, LA Tech lost 9 of their 11 starters from last season's offense, but we still couldn't stop them on our home field. Both LT offensive tackles were back ups, with the left tackle being a true freshman. LA Tech was starting a back up at running back and at one of the wide receiver spots too. They also lost half of their defense from last season and start a true freshman on that side of the ball too. The kid has 72 tackles through 8 games. Holtz is managing the crisis better: I state these facts because some will point to our "players lost for the season" or "youth being thrown into games" or "COVID" as reasons for our failures, and those issues are not exclusive to UNT. Other programs, like LA Tech are facing the same problems. They are just addressing them better. Today's game was a preview of our future and it does not look good if we continue down our current path. If the rankings are true, than our players are not the problem: Our more recent recruiting classes have been pointed to as a reason we will have a breakout season next year. But, tonight against LA Tech and their young players from lower ranked recruiting classes, they got handled on our home field. I see athleticism, size, strength, and speed in our young players. What I do not see is selflessness, toughness, discipline, good technique, or focus, and that is a reflection of our coaching.
  9. I'd hope a lot of people want to change their vote.
  10. "I am almost 100% certain North Texas will lose to LA Tech tonight. Why? Littrell has not beaten a team that finished their season with a winning record in 30 straight games. That goes all the way back to almost halfway through the 2018 season. Wow! It is time for new leadership this off-season." The above post got me a -1 on the prediction thread. Littrell is now 30-30 as a coach (1-4 against LA Tech), and our program has now gone 31 straight games without beating a winning team. When are our administrators and some of our fans going to wake up and realize Littrell is not going to build a real program at North Texas. We need to go in a different direction this off-season. Eye roll and -1 all you want, but you can't argue against the facts.
  11. Our stated goal... "Mission Statement" should be a reflection of our level of commitment to the program. What are the goals of other G5 programs that are spending $1.85 million on their coach. building comparable facilities, and working with a comparable athletic budget? I think our answer should be similar.
  12. Sorry for the mishap, but Wren is the one who owes you new pants. He is the one allowing this to continue.
  13. Buyouts are not paid all at once. He could be fired if their was enough push back from the fans and students. Remember RV? My question is can we really afford to keep him? If we intend to be a serious FBS program, than I think he has to go. Maybe one of us will feel different after our game with LA Tech tonight, but I doubt it. By the way, Littrell is 1-3 vs. LA Tech since he arrived in Denton.
  14. I am almost 100% certain North Texas will lose to LA Tech tonight. Why? Littrell has not beaten a team that finished their season with a winning record in 30 straight games. That goes all the way back to almost halfway through the 2018 season. Wow! It is time for new leadership this off-season.
  15. I say "No". The kid wasn't a 4 or 5 star recruit. We have to have some self respect as a program.
  16. Yup. Missed y'all Saturday. Hope all is well. We won't be there tonight. Had a death in the family and we are heading home. But, Y'all take care and we'll see you next season. Hopefully in our regular seats.
  17. I no longer have confidence in Littrell's ability to lead this program. I cannot state my opinion more clearly... This off-season we need to rebuild under a new coach.
  18. I believe the statement I have heard most is...."We have to get another week better".
  19. LA Tech plays better in the trenches and UTSA laid out the game plan for beating North Texas. This one will probably get ugly early and I think we lose by 3 touchdowns or more. Let me know when the exodus of Apogee occurs tonight, since I can't be there tonight. Littrell is not the answer. We need real change at the end of this season, or we will continue to be a fake contender in C-USA West and irrelevant in college football, all while much younger programs like Coastal Carolina and Liberty continue to earn rankings.
  20. You do realize that UTSA is a underclassman heavy team too. In fact, UTSA only started 2 seniors on offense yesterday. On defense, UTSA started 3 sophomores and a freshman.
  21. According to the most recent financial numbers.... W. Healy $855,000 J. Traylor $742,500 + S. Walden $110,000 _______________________ = $1,707,500 < S. Littrell $1,850,000 Let that sink in too.
  22. USM- Scotty Walden beat us 41-31 Charlotte- Will Healy beat us 49-21 UTSA- Jeff Traylor beat 49-17 (and Traylor didn't even have a DC. Nix has been suspended for a few weeks now) Littrell has lost to every first year coach he has faced this season.
  23. We are not the Pachelbel's Canon of football. Pachelbel was very relevant composer in his day, and his Canon in D minor has remained relevant for more than 300 years. We haven't been relevant in C-USA in a few seasons now. Sadly, nothing I'm seeing from Littrell is changing my opinion.
  24. Technically, UTSA doesn't have a DC right now. Nix is on suspension while the university investigates him. So, Bowen's defense got upstaged by a team with no defensive leadership. And, Littrell couldn't play call or coach against a defense who's first year DC hasn't even been there for weeks to help his players learn their new system. Let that sink in.
