I was at the game and number 15 is going to be a good player. I saw our defense play like they did 5-6 years ago. Like coach said give him 1-2 years, and after seeing it first hand last night I believe him. I think we get 5-6 wins this year and then get a bunch of Junior College help, and then watch out we will be very good next year. I feel the offense will continue to grow as the season goes along. I could not go last night due to my wife being ill, but I watched the whole game on ESPN 3 and I used to be an football official and I to noticed the poor officiating. I don't know where they were from but they were poor to say the least. I noticed on one of Houston's touchdown passes a Houston tackle trowning (holding) a N.T. player with no call. Also the call that the ball was touched on the punt that Houston hit our punter. Hopefully, coach will write all of that up in his report on the officials he sends in after the game. If you all remember the year before we first won the Sun Belt the first time we played good for a half in most games, won a few, and then like a light switch was turned on at the end of the year we started winning. Well, once again the game day at our new stadium comes and guess what??? NOT ONE THING IN THE DALLAS PAPER WHICH BRETT WRITES FOR AT ALL. It seems as if every post by some are negative. If some of you are that negative maybe you need to go and pull for your team down south, as we only need positive posters here. When every post is nothing but doom and gloom maybe you've had enough and should leave it to the ones who still have faith win or loss. Some of us never give up and knew the first four or five games would probably be losses, but we stick with the team and try to be possitive and not just write how bad we will lose each game. Unfortunately I live in Waco and it's not pretty here with a lot of crying going on. I can only hope Baylor get's what it deserves due to Ann Richards actions to get them in a conference they didn't deserve to be in, and their record has shown it. GO MEAN GREEN -----GO NORTH TEXAS SCRAPPYMAN 1

It is now time for Baylor to come back to where they belong and should have been had it not been for a Governor Richards who went to school there. Go to the WAC of Conference USA and Shutup. Start playing someone you might beat every once in a while. They like to play SFA and Sam Houston so much maybe they should go to the Southland Conference. They just built a 10million dollar indoor football facility with money from the Big 12, maybe their great building campaign will now slow down. Everyone says we got hammered, well it was only one point more than last year. Last year 34-10 = 24 points. This year 41-16 = 25 points. I believe if this had been later on in the season it would have been closer. As coach said when I talked to him at the Ranger game in April "Give me two years and I WILL have a better team". He said it would be painful the first year, but later in the season we would grow. Scrappyman 1
