Every team does this. I think some on here think of us as little old N T S U, but we are now a legit division 1 team that is bowl eligable so why should we not act like it. I was so proud of the Team, the crowd , and the way we presented ourself to everyone on T V Sat. My cousin down south watched the game and was very impressed with the way we looked Sat.

I talked to a man from S.A. who said his son goes to utsa and knows some of their players and they think rhey ill beat us by three T.D.'s. I told him they wouldn't score 14 points on us.

It is fun to go to games again thinking you will probably win. Oh how many loses I have set thru. Now I want to beat UTSA then please beat the HE__ out of Tulsa

I would really like for coach to let all of them play in the UTEP game agter the score gets out of hand because I would like to see Borgland play just to see how he can do. Maybe we should start a we want Borgland chant.

This is the best game we have played in the McCarney era. Great all around effort. Good job by the coaches to get the team up. Now lets beat Rice.

I think it is great us being on t v so much. I have had numerous of my colleagues that have said to me they have seen us on t v and we look good. They said they didn't know we eere that hood. Plus I have had a number of them read the article in wed. Dallas Morning News and that opened their minds even more.

I just went by the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, Got my Texas Football Magazine signed by Dave and looked up the Mean Green, and guess what.............they drink much green koolaid. To UNT LIFER What we were talking about was there being a league office where a university in that conference was located. The Univ. Of New Orleans had a basketball team in our conference.

It WAS THE NEW ORLEANS PRIVAEERS who have since gone down to div 3. Just F Y I. Wait and see where there is smoke there is fire. We will be in Conference USA in 2014. Oh how true it is. I remember back in the late 60's when you had to get to the stadium 1 1/2 hours before the game to get a good seat because they would be gone if you didn't. We would have students nearly fight to get the front rows so they could heckle rant and rave at the oposing team. It seems as though it is no longer that way. If you're not going to scream, rant, and hollar than stay off the front rows. Take over students, don't let them save the seats just for the heck of it. Go Mean Green.

I truely believe there have been secret talks with Rick, the Conference USA?Aliance people behind the scenes. The Aliance personel have been and toured the University I guess in an undercover mode since very few people saw them. Supposidly it was between 10-20 people so how could that have been missed. I believe we are already offered a place in the super conference and are just biding our time until it is announced. Just remember Southern Miss and Rick Villareal have a long past history, therefore, we have a inside with them. Also, it is known that Rice and UTEP want someone else in Texas to be a short travel distance (Who else fits that bill better than North Texas). I farther believe that Brett knows more than he is telling becasue he is sworn to secrecy and is afraid he won't be given any more inside info if he talks or lets it be known. There are just too many roumors out there for there not to be something to this. The superconference has to have someone in the Dallas Market especially since the league office is in Irving (Las Colinas). It would be a farce to have the league office there and there not to be a team in the area. I think there is one other thing we haven't thought a lot about with this coming. I think we will end up with a better class and higher efficiency bunch of football and basketball referees. We alwauys complain about the poor officiating in our league. I have watched some conference USA games on T V and it seems the class of officiating is just a notch higher in that league. Only time will tell, but I would nearly make a wager come May North Texas will be in a new league. Why else would the conference officials be talking to us yesterday in private trying to head something off at the pass before it happened. North Texas is gone, yes gone to the Conference USA with teams we will be able to create rivalries with such as UTEP and Rice. GO NORTH TEXAS .............. I really believe this will be our first road win of the year. I still am afraid I was correct in predicting us to win 5 games this year and be 5-7. I hope I am incorrect, but I think that would be a great improvement over 2-3 wins per year. I also believe we will end up with 7-8 wins next year. I feel we will beat Troy and Mid Tenn, but am very concerned over Western Kentucky the way they have been playing. I am holding out hope for 6-6 but will just have to hope for the best with our quarterback situation that he can play three more games without being hurt again.
