He is listed on the roster as a senior so I'd say one season.

Agreed...i had to go to NCTC before i went to UNT. becuase i moved here from arkansas i had to take some stupid thing called a compass test and you have to get at least a 75 on reading, math and i believe writing (this was in 05 so i don't really remember). I bombed math and got like a 40 and unfortunately screwed up and got a 74 on the reading portion. After those scores i was required to take 2 remedial math courses and a remedial reading class (none of them counted as credits).They were pretty easy. The actual non remedial courses were just as tough if not tougher then some of the courses i took at UNT.

to me it really feels like Smastrak is making it known that Athletics really is apart of the university. all the departments have a VP and now Athletics does too

Same here...I started an NT in 07 and got welcomed to the mean green family by not seeing a home football win all 4 years I was on campus...despite all that I stayed (mostly cause basketball at the time and the HOD bowl). With RV gone I see a new light for NT athletics and I haven't been as proud to bleed green as I am today.

I believe he was very much responsible for raising funds at both Rogers and Northwest Missouri State, plus at Memphis and Missouri it sounds like he was in on a lot of fundraising efforts. I do not have have much more knowledge then that, I also love his background in basketball. Hope he can make us a mid-major power again,

Baker almost seems too good to be true... Lower Level AD experience? Check Fundraising in a tougher environment then NT? Check Hiring successful, winning coaches? Check Work his way up through a regional Athletic Department from a program (Memphis) that has been successful on a level NT can be successful at? Check Work at a large P5 SEC school? Check. Have regional ties (oklahoma)? Check Young, energetic guy who dreams of nothing but being a D1 athletic director? Check I really really think that this would be a steal for North Texas. Make it happen BOR, and North Texas might finally wake up and be a player in college athletics.

I dont see this as a negative against Shanbour or Fine, but i do see it as a negative towards chumley or means. It just shows they wont mean (no pun intended) much at the QB position and that we needed some depth and competition at the QB spot.
