Well done. -
Chico didn't call those games. The OC was the guy from La Tech I believe. And if I recall there were quite a few people on this board at the time that made reference to how much better we played with that guy calling the games rather than Chico.

I hope Freddy Warner gets 100% healthy and gets to play - poor guy has had a tough run.

I think you could claim that DT was also turnover prone based on his TD/INT ratio. When it comes to McNulty starting this season I think back to Richard Abbe. The seasons leading up to last he really didn't do much. Then last season he blossomed a bit, made some plays and did what our defense needed him to do. Maybe the same will hold true for McNulty. Maybe he blooms into a world class bus driver this season. Whomever is running the show at QB i think the certainty is that their leash will be very very short. -
Hey SSP Perhaps it is the angle of the picture but, looking at the DB pic, and #19 specifically relative to others, (also having met his rather imposing brother), has there ever been discussion that John ultimately grows into an outside LB? Or does he/they think 200-205 safety is where he needs/wants to be. He appears to be rather broad versus his counterparts.

It’s time for a UNT tradition — Get Your Rear on the Record

Agreed. With the exception of Ball St. I watched that Ball St game again last week and from where I sat DT didn't win that game for us. Our defense and the Texas heat won that game for us. What DT did do was come out in the second half and make the right decisions which is what Mac preaches. Protect the ball, make the right decision. I think some have looked at that game and said he won it for us because he uncharacteristically played above his normal level. (i.e. no game killing mistakes in the second half) but in actuality he just went out and drove the bus. The UNLV game, he played lights out and threw the best ball of his career. So my prediction to get this back on topic. If our QB can drive a bus well and our defense is at least 85% as good as last years 8-5 9-4 is achievable as is 6-6. I think our OL/running game is too good for the wheels to completely come off this thing and finish less than 6-6. Although the QB will be new with our OL he should be upright most times and not be running for his life which is going to help immensely. -
East Side Social Club will be showing the broadcast the North Texas upset of UT. Wearers of burnt orange will be booed upon entering.

http://meangreenblog.dentonrc.com/2014/08/saturday-scrimmage-quick-notes-thoughts.html/ Brett mentions TJ Tauaalo may play this season at DT. I've heard that he has quite a motor. He's also listed at 288lbs.

Mutha-scratchin' Schedule Nerds
adman replied to The Fake Lonnie Finch's topic in Mean Green Football
Considering DFW has more Kansas grads than any place in the country not named Kansas City I would think scheduling them would be a no brainer. (at least from a butts in seats argument.) -
Ask him this Harry. What are the sales projections for beer sales at Apogee this year? What percentage of sales will actually make it into the athletic department coffers? Are the dollars from beer/wine sales earmarked for specific use within the department or will they simply go into a general fund? And finally, if all goes well with sales at Apogee will sales be expanded to other athletic venues/sports at NT?

Agreed. It is a team effort. I watched a Dodge team break some records against Navy offensively only to lose the game defensively.

Hard to do it to the tune of 9-4 and a bowl win.
