  1. Marshall is too big and fast not to be on the field somewhere - if not corner, safety?
  2. I feel like John Williams would donate the trucker hat.
  3. From his Coach at Butler: ""I think he'll do great," the coach said. "He's a guy that can make every throw on the field, and I have full confidence he's going to go there and do huge things.""
  4. I wonder how the $100k buyout was landed on. In my mind the minimum buyout should be year 4 salary amount.
  5. Paul Schaeffer of David Letterman fame? No way he went to UNT.
  6. Wasn't he in the top 5 of fastest players on the team? Disappointing if he is gone.
  7. If I remember correctly 10 SMU donors ponied up $1Mil each over 10 years to cover Jones $2Mil contract. Something along those lines.
  8. Did SMU sign a full class? Could it be a simple matter of having him walk-on with the promise of a scholarship next year?
  9. "If Im curt with you it's because time is a factor. I think fast, I talk fast and I need you guys to act fast if you wanna get out of this. So, pretty please….with sugar on top."
  10. Quite a few "Canales guys" who have been busts. 2 Snow college guys for sure. Factor in that he hasn't developed a single QB in his time here…
  11. Just playing off the misspelling. The guy we signed is Da-Marcus. He will be in camp. But everyone is spelling his name De-Marcus which is incorrect and therefore impossible for him to be in camp as he doesn't exist.
  12. Here's another great article about him. http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/article-1/Craig-Robertson-The-Browns-energizer-bunny/dcdc6bfb-bd06-4843-bbe8-7efcb252fda3
  13. Got his masters in programming from UNT and is hoping to continue to PhD.
  14. No way in hell DeMarcus Smith will be eligible and practice come summer 2-adays. DaMarcus Smith on the other hand will be in camp - I'll wager 6 beers and a shot of whiskey at one of Denton's finer establishments on that.
  15. What kind of recent precedent is there for a guy not to play a down of college football and then go to the NFL?
  16. Fernandes walked on last year and was on the scout team.
  17. Captain of my soccer team, if that counts.
  18. So you're saying you'd quit. Im glad you aren't out there. You are right though, football is emotional (like all sports) and it takes maturity to keep those emotions in check in order to help your team win.
  19. Firstly, I think you mean "flack" - One "catches flack" and then asks to be "cut some slack", but I digress. Protecting AM is nonsense. And I don't think it's so much about knowing the playbook as it is the other things that DW seemingly has failed to do. You can't let a kid dictate what he will or will not do no matter if he is the second coming of Tom Brady. You do that and you quickly risk anarchy within your team. As an example there was a game last season in which DW refused to wear a headset during the second half and send in signals. Refused. I can't imagine any coach rewarding that kind of behavior no matter how good a player is. When coaches talk about maturity etc it's things such as the above that I think they are talking about. And until DW buys in completely Id wager his role is limited.
