Well, when you keep said "big donor" in tow all the time, you set yourself up for certain moments. -

Part of UNT's pitch to recruits -- CUSA possibility

I am not sure Vito should have reported this at all. I can't imagine that Mac and our coaches are pleased that Busby told this to Vito, and you can bet they don't like Vito reporting it. -
Breaking news -- Chris Jones, Jordan Williams ineligible

Therein lies part of the problem here in that they have had passes probably for most of their high school careers. Being a stud athlete has its perks, but somebody has to get a grip on these guys at some point. If this happened next year, would it be passed off as sophmore blues? My point is that while there is an adjustment to college life for most students, athletes have to be held to a higher standard. So that line in the sand has to be drawn a lot sooner with guys (and gals) like this. -

Will you feel the same way when you are in your 60's and are passed over for something for the reason you are giving here? -

I can see your point, but playing every other year in San Antonio will do more for us recruiting wise than playing in Miami every year has done. -

Can we apply for a waiver so he can play Saturday at Troy. -
Yep Silver, same deal. Mac Brown kept his word to Pappa Sims, and it cost the Horns at least a shot at a national championship. Difference between Applewhite and McNulty is that Applewhite did not look good in practice. Perhaps it was the circle drill he had a hard time with.

And This Is Why We Need Better Results At North Texas

What has been UTSA's attendance in their home games since the first? -
Lifer, I did not know about the Hines part either. But I have been thinking about somebody posting last year the record for Canales when he was the play caller at South Florida and Arizona. If I recall it was not very positive. I would like to see a re-post if anybody has it.

I predict they are changing the time of the kick-off.

Miner, I agree. Put unfortunately there is not a waiver wire nor free agent offensive linemen in college football.

FYI, just checked with Rudys and we go through the regular line for food and drinks. I was hoping that Rudy's might have something set up in the room where the show is. Better get their early! -
Video from tonight's event at Apogee Stadium
Green Dozer replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Somewhat serious. I know, they should come here and automatically feel the need to come out to all things Mean Green. My point is 20 years ago, kids thought nothing of the heat. Video games cured that, so the walk while not a big deal to you and I, is to them. Most on campus last night were freshmen, and many don't have cars. The hotels close to me (Hampton, Homewood, Holiday Inn, etc) were packed with parents bringing their kids to town. So the shuttle would communicate the seriousness of an event like this, especially to our newest potential student supporters. And student supporters continue to support after they are gone. I know its a cost, but I think you have to look at it over the long haul so to speak. -

Or proactively having shuttles from the dorms for this event. There are some available as school is not in session. It's called customer service! -
Can't say I disagree. But would it not be good customer service to post some information about parking and tailgating on the athletic website? Seems it would not take much to hit some of the highlights of what we can expect, along with the rules/requirements in each lot, and then post and e-mail. I am sure Harry would pin it if asked. Opening day of anything always has kinks, how about being proactive in lessening some of those. NOTE TO ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT: IT IS CALLED C-O-M-M-U-N-I-C-A-T-I-O-N

My understanding is the walk will take place and that the team will walk down the walkway/trail behind the student stands at the new stadium. They will walk in when they arrive from the team hotel to the stadium.

Thankfully!!!!

90, why spoil their fun? And for that matter, some of our own fans who think it is the equipment truck. LOL
-
$$$$$. Coach says the place having his show has to pay to have it.
-
And another example is the stadium down the street from it, and it has hosted a Super Bowl.

The bookstore has a small section of Nike clothing. They had two Nike caps, green one in the pic, and a black one with the Nike emblem on the back. The t-shirts were gray. I did not see any Nike polos at the bookstore, just some left over Under Armour, Cutter Buck, etc. A clerk told me more of the Nike stuff was coming after they know more about the team's uniforms and sideline apparel.

I wonder why FFR and Silver did not jump on a table and lead a yell of their own in New Orleans!
