I think a lot is the egos of a few on this team, believing in to much hype and what is being written here. Having been to practice, I don't think it is coaching.

I thought we would see more of an inside game under Benford. Maybe we will as the season unfolds. But I would rather we take our lumps early. Lots of basketball left to play and it should be fun.

Then what weekend in the past would?

I think tonight's game will depend on how the MG runs its defense, which has been emphasised more by Benford. And the little things, like communication between players and Benford to make in game adjustments, etc. In other words, just the things that go with a new coach and the players getting used to each other. But from what I have seen first hand, so far so good.

Not true. They have stayed at the Holiday Inn several times under the last coach as well as Mac. Just FYI

Tech would have to throw an astronomical amount of money to get Benford. I doubt he loves it like Johnny did LSU, but Johnny had a lot invested as a player and asst. coach. Tech is not a move up right now and won't be after the season. Don't let your imagination get carried away!

I have flown Southwest several times to Omaha...not bad but you usually have 30 min or hour layover in St. Louis. Also Friday is crowded if Nebraska is at home. You could fly Southwest non stop to kC and make the 2 hour drive to omaha

You are one of the most vocal fans in the pit, but you really believe teams are scared to play us. Wouldn't you rather play a UTA type program rather than a "Cameron". I know of one Texas school who called Bill Foy three times asking for a game and was told no thank you. Don't know why but this was from their coach. Just asking, no rooted or alternative motives. I have edited out a part j that CBL took exception to and perhaps he was right. I will say it was NOT meant to come across as negative on my part about JJ and I certainly have no rooted negative feelings about JJ in any way. So my apologies, jumped the gun!

I think we match up with anybody, including K-State and that game is winnable. However, if we run the table and lose the first game we play in the tournament, everybody will forget what we did in the season. That said, if we have to take a lump or 2, I hope it is during the season. These guys are good but young and need to stay grounded.

Our athletic department can't even coordinate something as simple as the Mean Green March. Anybody see it Saturday. Surely somebody (i.e. a UNT policeman) could call somebody on a golf cart and let them know the team is leaving the hotel, so everyone can get lined up. Otherwise, lets save the team's energy and just drop them off at the locker room.
