I am not disagreeing with you or Greendyland, but both of you know the dollars just aren't there. Houston has much deeper pockets than we do. If you make a change, you are on the hook for Benford's salary plus the salary of a new coach. And if you are suggesting making a change in AD, which I assume is the consequences, then you have to buy that contract out in addition to a new AD's salary. Maybe somebody else can speak to this, but I bet the present AD's contract is longer than 5 years. I think you already know all of this anyway. So, and just hypothetically ONLY, would you delay the start of a few things such as baseball to make this change or changes?

I believe the alcohol ban is in effect while they investigate the incident with the fraternity. They did not say it was indefinite. Then, there will be the lawsuit, so the moron is trying to protect the interest of the university. Besides, at least I was told, there will be only like 2 beer stands. TABC is involved in the process and is not going allow beer to be sold at every concession stand on the alumni side. That came directly fro a person in the athletic department.

Not arguing with any of the previous posts. But disappointed that George and Craig would share it on air. In the context of a sports opinion, ok, that's what they do., But for the voice of the Mean Green telling somebody not to come because we aren't "very good" and taking it public is another.

All I said was they recruited their region well, that's it. It translated to more butts in the seats for games. 10 people are not coming from LA or Muleshoe, but if closer they would. By the way, I don't know if their fans were partial qualifiers or not. Maybe that was an advantage to.

Yea, then maybe we can concentrate on North Texas. Fresno did a good job of that by recruiting their region around their school.

Good post. However, I am not impressed with Petersen blowing his cork. Intensity is one thing in the heat of battle, trying to luck tough is another. Aston was intense but kept it under control. But to the point of yelling that the majority of pit can hear you is a bit much. Mike needs to heed his own advice and remember its just a ball.
