It's not a get rich type of opportunity, but they do need professionals. Even out there. I would get a 25% increase to go, but it may be because no one desires to live there. Is there anywhere decent to live within a 40 mile radius? I imagine the cost of living (housing) is quite a bit cheaper, so it might be a good opportunity to horde money for a few years. I don't want to be somewhere too terrible though...

There's a fairly lucrative opportunity I have some interest in out there. However, from what I read the town is pretty miserable. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Well cool. I was under the impression that UNT Cheerleading had completely fallen apart a year or two after they won their last championship. Glad they are competing again.

No joke. These guys should consider themselves lucky. I can't think of a single UT assistant coach who didn't pan out.......

Good game. It is the only version I own though I've played other years. Still play it regularly. Not quite as pretty as the xbox version and a little bit of slowdown on occasion, but a good edition. Yes, I beleive there are 1-AA schools, but I don't know what conferences by heart. Nice things about gamecube games is that they are all playable with the Wii if you ever upgrade.

Since most of the team is black in a predominately black sport I doubt very much that Dominique Green is being singled out for being black. If he was Jewish then he might make a case.

I guess I always have to be contrary. I think this tirade was childish. The coach is making millions off this 'amature sport'. The school is making millions off this 'amature sport' There are a bajillion coporate logos all over the stadium. There are 50k people in the stands and tv cameras rolling. If you are going to put the teams and the players in the public eye in order to make money, you can't then go back and whine that not all the publicity is positive. It's a 2-way street. This isn't critism of some volleyball player. It was critisim of someone who the coach and the school put in the public eye to make their money.

As stupid as the response was the question was ridiculous as well. There is no way in hell that 20% of Americans can't find the US on a world map. You think they would vet these questions.

I call shenanigans on the 27% number. Assuming they are just included 4-year public schools we are still talking about many schools with large enrollment (>20k): North Texas, Texas, Texas A&M, Houston, Texas Tech, Texas State, UT-A; UTEP. On top of that we have dozens of smaller public universities. I doubt very much that even the largest school (Texas) has anywhere close to 27% of incoming freshman. We may well be at 7%.

Agreed, it's a very weird thing to do. RV should have just stated that, yes, this man was contacted and no, he is far from the sole candidate being considered - many of whom would be more attractive to the fan base. There you have it. That would have been sensible. Why would this guy still be interviewed if he had no chance? And why for the love of God embarress him before the interview even happened? I can only guess that there is more to this. I don't think RV is lying but there must be some other purpose in this interview...

That's pretty cold to tell a guy to send a resume while knowing he isn't a contender. Maybe I'm reading this wrong though....

I can understand the university wanting to make money and giving a discount to season ticket holders..that sounds reasonable.. I just don't like the explanation that UNT alum have to pay because UT fans cheat the system...

Ugg.... 1. Why should I buy season tickets if I live south of Austin and can't make the games??? I don't think I should have to pay $200 extra in order to get my family out there. I'm a $ giving alum for goodness sake. I'm not just wasteful which would be buying season tickets I can't possibly use. 2. UNT's ticket office responsibility is to support UNT fans not figure out how to make money off UT fans. I'm so tired of places punishing everybody because they are too lazy or too incompetant to address the problem makers. UNT alum should be able to get tickets for the $50 price. It is pitiful and inexcusable that the AD doesn't want to find a proper solution. Pure laziness and pure poor administration...

That's just asinine unless we plan to sell out our allotment... all it's going to do it prevent Mean Green fans from getting tickets and the remaining allotment reverting to UT anyway...
