  1. No you're mixed up. Texas slept with Nathan Tune's dog.
  2. Based on his roster photo, I'd say Windsor Knots.
  3. If only A&M leaves, the Big 12 might just sit pat at 9 for now. Whatever market share Houston delivers probably wouldn't make up for the extra slice of the pie they would take. BYU would probably make a lot more sense, but I'm not sure how their TV contract would impact things. If Missouri also leaves then I'm pretty sure the conference will fall apart with only 5 or 6 members left at the end of the day. Those left will either dissolve the conference and go elsewhere or add a mixture of MWC and C-USA teams to become a second coming of the 16 team WAC of the 90s (albiet slightly improved).
  4. So...if this comes true.. this should be fun to watch.. The ACC will need to raid the Big East. This will probably force to Big 10 to consider raiding the Big East first. In any case, the Big East is dead man walking as a BCS conference. The fact that the Big 10 will be looking East will probably force Big 12 schools (Oklahoma and maybe even Texas) to make a bid to get in while spots are still available. This is turn will force the PAC-12 to try to grab the Big 12 schools first. So at the end of the day we will likely have superconferences of ACC, BIG 16, PAC-16, and SEC. The Big East and Big 12 will be smoldering ruins. Or... I could be completely wrong..
  5. The sad thing is that in 20 years $1 Million will only buy you a Big Mac.
  6. I'm hoping for Brinker International. I would love to see Fat Bastard singing Chili's Baby Back Ribs on the Jumbotron.
  7. Does Hyper-Color make this jersey? I swear I've never seen a uniform that looks so different depending on the lighting.
  8. Go..go..North Texassssss
  9. Yeah, I get it. It's just I don't recall ever hearing Buda Hays before like I have with say Austin Bowie or Killeen Ellison. It just sounds weird to my ears (as does Kyle Lehman). Anyway, great to get a kid like this.
  10. Vito....Not to be pedantic, but as someone who lives in Kyle, I can assure you there is no such High School as "Buda Hays".
  11. Sure. However, none of the other possible choices would be any better in this regard.
  12. You know... I'm not so sure SMU is going to oppose us. They are on an upswing in football and I don't know that they would consider us much of a threat to their interests even if we were in the same conference. It would give them a local game and more regional press. Also..consider this...I don't think SMU,Houston, Rice, UTEP, and Tulane would be too happy with a chance of a conference comprising in part UNT, TSU, UTSA, Lousiana Tech, ULL, and NMSU competing with them for TV $ and recruits. Taking us would help guard their flank.
  13. "When you look at the conference we're competing in, it's not just about football "» it's also about academics and how things fit the vision of the institution " Yes, truly the WAC will be the Ivy League of the Southwest. Click here for some proof. Possibly not safe for work.....
  14. By the dimensions it looks like our screen will be pretty close to doing 16:9 natively. SMU's dimensions are little odd, but appear to be closer to 4:3. I guess what I'm saying is that our screen will show the same dimensions as a TV broadcast, where SMU's would either have to be letterboxed or cropped if they wanted to do that.
  15. I assumed it was a joke, but really I just have a .gif posting addiction....
  16. It might only take another year or two to make a run at the Sun Belt. In terms of talent there isn't as much of a gap between teams in the Sun Belt as there is in say the Big 12.
  17. Hmmm.... this thread makes me want a lightsabre popsicle....
  18. Look. I could understand the complaints if a couple dozen football games were played every year. However, we are only talking 6 games a year or so.
  19. As much money as schools like UT make off football I think you could make an argument that they should be paid. Let's not pretend that college football isn't a business (at least at the BCS level).
  20. I don't think I'll ever understand the appeal of Kruez's. It found it pretty gross to be honest. I think some people like it because of the atmosphere and strange rules, but I found the food seriously lacking. I would consider it by far the worst in Lockhart, but to each their own I guess...
