Anyone Want to Watch the Game in Austin
MeanGreenTeeth replied to meanJewGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
I wish the game wasn't so early. Got my kid's soccer game in the morning. Probably couldn't make too much of the game unless you want to find a bar in Buda ;) -
Our Oline has been completely dominated all season. We could put Tom Brady out there and it wouldn't matter.

So let's see... They had a player ejected for a punch, had more penalties than UNT, and their head coach charged our bench, yet they think we are the dirty program?- 27 replies

Well.. at least they had the presence of mind to put someone in to punt. -
She seems good. She'll have a good perspective on how many schools run their business operations. It's a little bit of a safe choice though. Personally, for such a strategic position, I'd like to see someone come over from a local pro franchise or at least have some relevant business experience outside college sports. It's nice to have some diversity of experience within the ranks.

Looks like the CFO position is no longer open either. Guessing both positions were lined up some time ago. Wren's been busy.

I'm not sure what to make of the article. There is no way Texas wants to extend the GOR.... -
Yeah, but remember, it isn't about what you or I like. It is about what some 17 year old likes.

Wow. Another Dale Hansen story that is high on emotion and low on facts. Color me surprised. Briles "failed" the women of Baylor? You're such a brave brave man Dale. How about you actually make the case that Briles was negligent before you reach a conclusion? I know that is asking a lot. I'm sorry, but he is such a smug self-important douche. I bet he drives a Prius too.

Tx State QB Recruit Available
MeanGreenTeeth replied to DeepGreen's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
I saw Hays play Boerne Champion this year and as I recall Kent had a pretty good game, though to be honest Champion played pretty awful. It's pretty big news down here. I would say it might be worth taking him just for the goodwill, but I don't know that getting a pipeline to Buda is that big of a deal. Also, the last injured Hays player we signed didn't turn out so well. -
I wonder if I should add this to my signature.......

It'll be interesting to see what happens for sure. I saw Kyler Murray play a couple games for the Ags last year, and I was worried he was going to be broken in half (and he is bigger than Fine!). You just never know though, he has great numbers, but it is a large step up. I'm reminded that Tyler Ethridge couldn't even cut it at Angelo State and he was supposedly the greatest 6-man player to ever play the game.
