IMHO there are those that would like to see us back in IAA and are working hard to insure it happens -- remember this is a music school and athletics have never been that big on the overall agenda.
-
This is the same offensive scheme that has been used for 8 years. It didn't work then and it has not really worked in any of the 8 years. We were just playing poor teams. Why wait another year for more or the same.
-
If all of the above is true why was UNT not listed anywhere in the drafting picks from HS. Because we are bad, everyone knows it, and the administration intends to do nothing about it. Div IIA here we come.
-
I did not renew my season tickets after over 10 years of attending every game -- insuring that two tickets were used each game and am sure glad I did not. If the Green Mean Association needs money they need to do some fund raising -- like a better football team and a coach that has a winning record. Otherwise I will NEVER attend anyother UNT football game.
-
Only the 3rd time in the university history that we have not won any home games. Pathethic.
-
Missed that -- thanks for the update.
-
Yes, he said he wanted to get into coaching anywhere -- at UNT was never implied or mentioned. He only DESIRES to get into coaching.
-
Up the middle has been DD's concept on 1st and on 3rd for 8 years. It didn't work then and will not work now since everybody knows what the play call will be. Disgusted with the poor coaching -- the players are only doing what they are told.
-
and this was an apology to who?
-
I agree -- the team has improved since the start of the season. However, I expect this kind of improvement in practice not in games. When a IAA loses to a ranked school by half of our score something is wrong. AND THE WRONG IS THE COACHING!! Fix it or IAA here we come again.

How can we win six to become Bowl eligible? If not bowl eligible does it really matter?
-
I've maintained it and still believe it -- 8 years no change in game plans -- wins only because we are play the bottom of the barrel and then the coaches get upset with fans for pointing out the obvious. I guess it is the fans against the coaches -- the coaches lose because without fans there is no game.

Congrats and looking forward to a future UNT champion

There already are technical problems with fans attending the game. I support UNT football but cannot afford the gas, cost of my seasons tickets since 1990 to see the same thing that we "won four conference championships" without winning the bowl. Good luck until we get a coach and coaching staff that is ready to play to win.
-
I'm sure it's the refs and lack of fan support from Denton -- nothing to do with the same coaching, same plays, last eight going on nine years.

and the excuse for today is ... ?

La Tech Fans Saying They Will Hammer NORTH TEXAS!

and why shouldn't they -- four conference champships, three bowl losses and now I can set up a defense that will stop DD in his tracks. I've seen it all losses, wins, but this less than excellent attitude is not acceptable. -
That's the problem -- we coached just enough to win but look like a small town high school team.
-
Some people expect to keep doing the same thing, although it is consistenly failed.
-
Been doing that since 1990. After 14 years of buying seanson tickets with one extra to help with the move to IA and bring people to UNT games with no change in the play on the field -- maybe AA is where we belong.
-
It's easy to beat predictability and DD is preditable. This is all that UNT will ever be until we get a winning coaching staff.

Was the exempted year this year or last year? Since I did not get any notice until I recevied my season ticket request? Do did receive the publication mentioned above last year. Also, as a faculty member I did require my Saturday classes to attend games for class roll to help with the qualification for D1. I have supported football with everything I could. Oh and this is UNT not UT. Thousands would insure that no attended the game.

OK, I'm 60 years old -- fairly fixed income have been attending UNT games since 1990. From 1990 - 1992 as a student; from 1993 - 1998 as both a student and ticket season holder and a season ticket holder since 1999. I have seen less than an 1/8 of Fouts full; sat thru rain, snow, heat, losing, winning, have traved to out of state and in state games and with no warning my tickets price is increased $250.00 minimum. I know you youngesters think this is nothing; however, some of us are not so affuluent - (professor in the state of Texas) have not seen a raise in 5 plus years that gave me more income but has cost me more income tax. I don't mind the Mean Green Club but advance notice would have made this year a surity while at this point I'm not sure I can afford it. If football is only for the 30 - 50 year old crowd that's fine. However, remember there are loyal fans that are not willing to sit "in the end zone" for lack of discretionary funds to support something that offers me IMHO nothing but an inclose parking pass. All the years were great but it may be all over except for the radio

Live in Ft Worth and would be more interested in local chapter than UNT Exes which seems like a money hole with no payback -- of any sort. Please keep me in mind: drison@sbcglobal.net
