  1. Because we made it until the 3rd quarter before we're out of it! Last year was the 1st qtr and sometimes almost half?
  2. Maybe we will find out next year. And maybe next year by mid season we can have hope to win more than one game!
  3. Wow. We have records at both ends. The longest winning streak and losing streak in conference. We're number 1 again! ( in something ) Just adds to the misery from this last loss, keeps getting better and better!
  4. Thanks Harry for all your work. I know supporting a site like this is a job in itself. Thank you.
  5. Happy birthday Rick!
  6. I'm with you Emmitt...
  7. Well played sir. Thread hijack/derailment with one word. Genius!
  8. Mean Green Insider Premium is pretty decent. $9. Live video with the radio broadcast.
  9. Offense looking blah ....
  10. I agree. The kid made a mistake and his current coach says its not as drastic as it appears. The environment Todge is trying to create or has created here might be a great fit for this young man. Todge has said it time and again that he has a responsibility to his players and their parents.
  11. HVU1ffXXJ4A *fixed it for you Joey.
  12. Poor young man... Let's hope this season is a season of firsts! Riley got the W on his first collegiate start. It'd be awesome if Tune did the same!
  13. Love the intensity and fire you guys have been playing with. So far you've shocked me and I'm proud. However... If you really want to shock the nation and kick start your "Shock the Nation Tour", then... BEAT THE HELL OUT OF ALABAMA! Knocking off #4 will do that. I've got faith and will watch this weekend!
  14. We've got 10 more games. The way the guys played and with only one body bag game on the schedule, they are very capable of winning 50% of the remainder of the games. I didn't have any preseason expectations besides 0 with hope that this was the real turn around year and we went .500. After these two games, my expectation for a successful season is .500. Both games, this team dug in and fought back. Ball State tied it up and they fought back for the win. Ohio took the lead off a pick 6 from an unsettled back up QB who was thrown into the game. They fought back and Tune put them in the position to win. I hope the guys have that fire re-lit and take it to Alabama next week wanting to prove something. Anything could happen and I am much more optimistic for a good game than I was at the first of the season.
  15. Shoulder separation defined
  16. 4th and goal on the 15 and we give them a TD AND a roughing the passer. PENALTIES. And this one cost us the game.
  17. Preseason question was how durable Riley was ... I guess the answer to that is less than 2 games. Hope he bounces back. But, Tune did a pretty good job once he got that INT out of his system.
  18. For all of you DirectTV customers, the game is being carried on these channels... Channel Title Date FSDHD663 North Texas @ Alabama 9/19/09 @ 11:00 AM CDT CSNHD642 North Texas @ Alabama 9/19/09 @ 11:00 AM CDT MSGHD634 North Texas @ Alabama 9/19/09 @ 11:00 AM CDT CSNB696 North Texas @ Alabama 9/19/09 @ 11:00 AM CDT FSD663 North Texas @ Alabama 9/19/09 @ 11:00 AM CDT
  19. Anybody know where I can find an infant onsie? My first kid, a girl, is due anytime. But I can't find anything with Voertmans, Bookstore, MeanGreenGear that is 0-3 months.
  20. I like our chances in this game. Most said this and Army were our two best chances at a W in out of conference. Ohio was weak against the run. Cam and Dunbar ran all over Ball State, that's significant considering they returned the same defense from last year regardless if they changed from a 3-4 to a 4-3 this year. UConn shut down Ohio's running game to 61 yards. Except for one break out run for a TD, our Dline did a hell of a job shutting down Ball State's running game. Lewis is a great RB. Maybe their Oline inexperience played into it. But, most expected our dline to struggle against an inexperienced oline. If they play like they did at Ball State, the dline can contain their running game. The keys to the game are how our secondary will handle experienced QBs that can throw the ball and how well RD controls the ball. Ohio intercepted UConn's Frazier three times and UConn fumbled once. With 4 turnovers, Ohio still couldn't pull it out. Ohio also had 186 yards passing, so our secondary is going to get a workout. One of Ohio's TDs came on a 44 yard pass. We need the dline to contain the line of scrimmage and pressure the QB. Ohio was 3-14 on third down conversions. With the intensity the team played at last week, I expect good things. I didn't expect anything good prior to the season, but they have me believing. We're at home. They are going to be pumped! No prediction. I'm wearing the same clothes as last week! No jinxing anything! lol
  21. How about the announcers saying about Page's high school ... "Page out of Mesquite High School in Sunnyvale, TX" ... really? Mesquite, TX, morons. How hard is that to figure out. Mesquite HS is my high school. So, it was frustrating.
  22. Yes. My balls very much appreciate it
  23. Agreed. Not his first issues either.
  24. I purposely didn't get on the internet until the end of this game. I hardly moved because I didn't want to jinx us, but all I gotta say is wow! The team really suprised me and took it to Ball State! There were some mistakes on both sides of the ball which kinda even out. But the team stuck to it and pulled out the win. The offense handled their defense which was suppose to be their great strength. I thought our defense did a great job and was consistent through the game. Ofcourse you can find areas we can improve like still killing ourselves with some stupid penalites. But, I can't believe the difference a year makes. Riley was a general on that field. Cam and Dunbar are a powerful duo. Jamal Jackson, legit D1 speed who made one really great run after catch. Special teams were night and day from last year. Drake, Robertson, Nwigwe and Hill were great. Good to see the defense getting to the QB late in the game wth some hits forcing some throws. WR corp had some hard hands, but I thought were pretty consistent on all those short plays. We should have been up atleast 24-0 by half. Riley's overthrown ball in blown coverage and a holding penalty bringing back that kick-a return after the INT. We kept Ball State in this game. But this is a team with promise. Wish I could have made the trip to Muncie with those faithful that did.
