  1. Haha. No.
  2. O'Hara has 2 years to play 2. Redshirted at Western Illinois (2013). Played as a R-Fr (2014). Played at DuPage one year (2015).
  3. Looks like the object of Quoner's affection will be at the Frisco game in a couple of weeks for their "Rio in the Ballpark" Olympics promotion. http://www.guidelive.com/things-to-do/281127/rio-in-the-ballpark-night-frisco-roughriders-vs-tulsa-drillers-dr-pepper-ballpark http://www.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t540
  4. At least we've narrowed it down.
  5. Nobody remembers that dirty, potato-eatin mick Timothy McVeigh?
  6. It's pretty much the greatest dead body discovery app ever invented.
  7. UNT: Takes 20+ years for mug design to get publicity. More publicity than the University has gotten in those intervening 20+ years.
  8. I can't be the ONLY person upset that this wasn't the first post:
  9. So I'd been meaning to share this before but hadn't had the time and couldn't really find the right place. As some people know, I'm the rare TAMS kid who stayed at UNT and got my degree. This summer was my 20-yr TAMS Reunion, and, for the first time, UNT hosted an official reunion for us. Now, we're not idiots (TAMS kids, remember?) so it was a pretty obvious money grab... and I applaud it. UNT has long needed to tap into a resource of people who leave UNT and go to places like MIT and CalTech and UC Berkeley. But a lot of those kids also go to places like UT and A&M. One reason that happens is that UNT has not historically granted auto-scholarships to TAMS students, post-TAMS. Well, Smatresk spoke at the event and indicated the University was going to do this, and committed to coming up with ways to encourage and keep TAMS students in the fold. This is the first time the University has really paid attention to TAMS alumni, who are generally doing pretty well out in the world. Now I'm admittedly a vagabond and weirdo who operates on the fringes of society, but most of my classmates are exactly what you'd expect. They're physicians and engineers and programmers and have letters before and after their names. When members of my class opted to start an independent endowment fund for TAMS this past year, it hit $52k within about 6 months. Half of that total came from my class of less than 200 people. That was without any real formal push and minimum effort. This is a resource that has been woefully underutilized for a long time. I'm glad UNT is finally working towards giving it attention. As the Zen Master said, "We'll see."
  10. Whew! I was afraid we'd have to wait a whole season to adjust expectations.
  11. If Baylor had been smart about the cover-up, they would've sacrificed debate team, tennis players, etc., just so they wouldn't show ZERO campus sexual assaults reported over a 4-yr period. If you're gonna cheat, don't score 100. Score a 92. If you're gonna falsify data, you've got to work the experiment backwards based on EXPECTED results, not perfect results. I mean, I feel this reflects poorly on Baylor as an institution of higher learning, because this is pretty basic stuff.
  12. And for the most part, history has proven that the vast majority of players are willing to risk it. I remember the big buzz about Toradol a few years ago. When asked, most players said knowledge of the side effects and potential for lasting damage wouldn't change their decisions. They just want to HAVE the knowledge, because there are a handful of guys out there who will risk it a few years, take their millions, and go on to do something else. And in many cases, they don't care what the risk is, as long as they're compensated for the value of that risk. Most are going to take the money for as long as they can. I don't blame them, though. A lot of people die from a lot of horrible things, and they don't get to trade it for millions of dollars.
  13. The only party I trust less in picking a UNT Quarterback than an unproven coach is a proven GMG board.
  14. Also, it doesn't appear that he's turning the heat up at all. I bet he's trying to keep it at a nice consistent temperature. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS A LIE!
  15. Hey, do you wanna be on the spaceship or not?
  16. I don't know. I think there's something to be said for turning FCS opponents INTO bodybag games.
  17. If nobody throws dirt on the basketball program, some coyotes are gonna come along and drag it off.
  18. Set of steak knives.
  19. The chance to being an UDFA isn't a great sell to recruits, even if you have the most (which we don't).
  20. Colt McCoy grew 3 magical inches from his recruitment at 5'10" to his making the first official roster at UT at 6'2", before shrinking some when he got to the Combine at 6'1". Of course, he did get hurt. Of course, he was playing against better competition than we do. Of course, he also had top recruits all around him. Of course, I don't know where I'm going with any of this, except that I assume he'll redshirt.
  21. Cam still has a number of flaws in his game, and Carolina had one of the easiest schedules this season. 14 games against NFC East, AFC South, NFC South.Cam still has a tendency to airmail his receivers. He's gotten better this year, but 40% of his TDs came in 3 games. Completed less than 60% of his passes in 10 games this year. Yeah, he's far and away a better QB than the other similar QBs mentioned, but a portion of that is that he's much bigger and stronger than guys like Manziel and RGIII. Still, he's not been a pre-snap read, drop back, read again, step up, throw QB. The Denver defense ate his lunch because Carolina has no quick, short passing game. It's run, Cam run, big passing play. This year Peyton might have been the worst QB to ever start, and definitely WIN a Super Bowl. So bad that they were in a complete offensive shell the entire game. I'm glad they won, and he deserved to have a defense carry him, after carrying some abysmal defenses with him throughout the years. But Jeebus he needs to retire. I say this as a guy that loves what the Panthers do (particularly the defense, run game, and toughness), and would've rooted for them against any other AFC opponent.
